Chapter 103 - Making a deal

Ciara’s POV

I stood as still as possible as the sound of breaking bones crackled through the air. I couldn’t watch, I couldn’t stomach the smell of blood filling my nostrils. But I couldn’t do anything but listen to the brutal attack on the pathetic man in front of me. Prince Liam, tied to a chair in the middle of the cavern, slumped over while blood dripped from his nose and eyes. His face was battered and bruised. His once handsome face was now disfigured with multi-colored bruises.

Several rogues mocked and laughed as they used the prince as a punching bag while I stood in front trying not to flinch. A short whistle and the group of rabid men instantly stopped their brutal attack. Rocco, the rogue leader, stepped forward and leaned over to look at the Prince. His usual smiling face was now stoney and serious. “Look who is at the bottom of the barrel now?” He laughed out right before throwing a heavy blow right into the side of his ribs.
