Aaron's pov

The moment seemed joyous to me. My face was still housing a smile while my fingertips were given slow taps on the table before me.

No matter how the case might be, taking a reckless move wouldn't be an option. I might be smiling currently, but my head was running miles, thinking of different speculations to fit in my strategy.

Then my eyes flew to the front, meeting the man before me, and my expression turned serious.

“What other information do you have? I can't help but smell you have some” I question with piercing eyes that could see one's soul. It wasn't as though I didn't trust him, but I wanted every value piece placed on the table for me to review.

He gulped down hard. My gaze seemed heated on him, but I didn't soften it. I always have this suffocating aura on me, and just now I coated myself in it. He knew he had no choice but to say it out, loud and clear, without mistakes.

“Sir… it's about your daughter” he stammered, and I became winded.
