Chapter Four

Xavier's P.O.V

   I was livid when Damian, through the mind link, told me that the woman who was given as an exchange for her father's debt, disappeared mysteriously.

The woman I planned on getting married to just because of the Supreme Alpha title that I wanted to get at all cost, ran away and it wasn’t even funny a bit.

  Mr. Martin, a former security officer who once worked in my company, came to my office asking me to lend him a huge amount of money because he wanted to take care of his ailing daughter who was bedridden and needed surgery to be flown to India. 

Because he had been working with me for long, I lent him the one million dollars that he asked for. 

   Deep down, I knew he was trying to deceive me because I had the youngest member of my pack, Zack, keep a tab on him.  I got reports about how he swindled the money, gambling and drinking till the money was finished. 

  When the Supreme Alpha talked about how getting a mate is important, It infuriated me because I have been looking for my mate for ages and the criteria of getting the title was to have Luna by my side. 

I was pondering about what to do when Damian reminded me about the money that I gave to my securities officer

"Alpha Xavier, have you been able to retrieve your money from Mr Martin's? Has he paid the debt?"

"No! Thank you for reminding me, I need to teach that man a lesson for thinking that he can deceive me"

"Xavier, a thought came to my head concerning the getting a mate thing. Why not teach Martin's a lesson for deceiving you by taking his daughter away from him in exchange of what he owes you"

"A human as my mate? No! The Supreme Alpha would be against the union, we werewolf's must mate with our kind not mere humans" I scrunched up my face in absolute disgust.

"Alpha Xavier please listen to what I am trying to say. It isn't news that you have been placed on a curse by the moon goddess, that's the reason why you haven't found your mate yet. Nobody would know if she's your mate or not, you would just keep her by your side as a trophy wife"

   After Damian reported to me through the mind link that Irene already ran away, I had him break her father's limbs until he provides her out. 

When he couldn't find a proper explanation on how Irene disappeared, we had the CCTV footage of the area checked. That's when she was captured climbing through the fence of the backyard that led to the forest. We searched through the forest and that was how she was found. 

   She hasn't regained consciousness since last night. I had her sedated because her father said she could be pretty fiery at times. 

   The doorbell rang multiple times and I knew who it was already. It was Kourtney, the daughter of the supreme Alpha's Beta and she was my sex partner as well. 

She was the only one who kept me sane away from the pain of not finding my mate yet.

 She flashed a smile at me as she plopped down on the couch while removing her sunglasses. I didn't think twice before dragging her up and covering my mouth with hers, parting the tender folds of her lips with mine. 

I carried her as she wrapped her legs around my waist, moaning into my ear while jerking her head backwards.

   I glided my tongue from her throat all the way up to her mouth then to her earlobe. She pulled a fistful of my hair and whispered in my ear for me to go inside of her. 

"Go inside of me, I mean totally inside." She moaned. 

  I growled under my breath, carefully dropping her on the couch as she pulled her top over her head. I swept my tongue from her stomach to her lips, going back down again. I languorously rotated my tongue around her left nipple and nestled my head on her shoulder, proceeding to kiss her earlobe again.

She shuddered and writhed beneath me as I thrust myself inside of her. Her cries and moans filled the air as she dug her finger into my skin.

I squeezed my eyes shut, gently stroking her before increasing my pace as she shuddered again, then we both came. 

  I dropped on the floor, panting hard while staring at the huge chandelier, hung on the ceiling. 

     I tried to take my gaze off the chandelier when my eyes caught someone staring at me from the indoor balcony. Her eyes were widened and her hair was disheveled as she stared down at me. 

"You! What are you doing there" I barked at her.

She completely seemed to be out of it because she just stared on and on. 

"Xavi, who's there?" Kourtney followed the direction of her eyes when she suddenly used the arm cushion to cover her naked body. 

"Who the hell are you!" Kourtney yelled. 

   I was starting to lose patience as I stood up wearing my trousers while running up the stairs. Was she dumb? Didn't she hear what I was saying? 

  I grabbed her by the upper arm and pushed her as she hit her back against the wall. She let out a soft wince as she fell on the floor, I dragged her on the floor and pulled her inside the room and locked her up, throwing the keys down my pocket. 

"I heard from my father that you have found your mate"

"Uh, yeah" I nodded.

"W-wow, the moon goddess has removed the curse. I-I am happy for you" She stuttered, smiling awkwardly.

"When are you guys getting married?" She muttered, fiddling with her fingers.

"We will be getting married tomorrow! After I introduce her to the Supreme Alpha at the dinner party tonight."
