Allison's POV

All my life, I've been working as a slave for this god-damned hellhole of Night wind Pack. My life became a mess right from when I was 10 years old. I can't wait to turn 18, get my wolf, and then a mate.

Hoping to meet my mate, hoping that he will find me and take me away from this hellhole of a Pack. I'll be 18 in a week's time, and I'm impatiently waiting.

They called me their slave, and I followed every order that I was giving. I do the chores, get beaten at times, starve and eat from the crumbs that fell from their tables. Occasionally, I wonder why can't I remember anything from my past.

The only thing I can remember is my name. My name is Allison, and I'm a slave to everyone in the pack. I spent all my years serving a Pack that loathes me so much.

“Allison!”

Staring at the heap of clothes, my heart skipped a beat. My whole body was still aching badly from the whipping I got last night, and now I'm being summoned again.  “Coming.” 

Before I could grab the door handle, the door was opened, making me almost run into the door.

Glaring hard at me, Natalie, the Alpha's Beta's daughter, smirked mischievously. I could tell that something must be up. 

“You, slow poke! Hasn't it been two hours since I handed my laundry to you?” Her exaggeration got me sighing. It hasn't even been up to an hour since she handed me a heap of dirty clothes.

Gulping hard, I bowed my head. Of course, I have no right to say anything. She happened to be the Alpha's favorite. “I'm… I'm sorry.”

“You should be sorry for yourself. Must you always be so slow? By the way, why were you seducing my mate?” She stared at me with so much hatred.

Fear gripped me. I was clueless of what she was talking about. Raising my brow, I responded. “I don't understand what you're talking about, Natalie.”

“You don't? Really?” She fumed.

Before I could say another word, she slapped me hard on the cheek, causing a cut on my lip. “Natalie, what did I do wrong? I really don't know what you're talking about.”

“Shut up! You think I didn't see how you were staring at the Alpha at the dining table when you were serving breakfast?” She growled at me.

My lip was already bleeding, I licked it softly. “I didn't do anything like that. I'm only a slave, Natalie.”

Scoffing, she snapped. “How dare you talk back to me? You whore, I think you've forgotten your place. Let me remind you, Allison, you're a shitty slave and nothing will make Alpha Marcus have his eye on a wolf-less slave like you.”

I was already fuming. Natalie has always derived joy from making life difficult for me. Ignoring her, I walked to the clothes and continued washing, since I was ordered not to make use of the washing machine. 

Before I could sit, she grabbed me by my hair. “How dare you walk out on me when I'm still talking to you? Do you have a death wish?”

“Let me go… Let me go, Natalie.” I winced in pain, but she cared less about how painful it felt.

“You don't deserve to be here. I wonder why you have the guts to even talk back to me. Oh, Allison, there's absolutely nothing you can do. As a matter of fact, you are stuck with us in this Pack.” She kept yelling at me.

The excitement she feels anytime she sees me in pain marvels me. It made me wonder what I have ever done wrong to her. I struggled and pushed her off, releasing myself from the grip. “Don't you dare hurt me again, Natalie. And don't accuse me falsely again.”

“You, little b****…” She raised her hand to slap me, but I grabbed her hand in the air.

With tears in my eyes, I replied. “I won't let you bully me when I've done nothing to deserve the ill-treatment you're giving me.”

Her jaw dropped in shock. She was probably wondering where I got the guts to talk to her that way. “Were you just talking to me?” 

“Yes, Natalie. I was talking to you. If you excuse me, I'll go back to doing the laundry.” I turned around to go, and she pulled me back.

“You truly have a death wish, you weak slave.” She was about to slap me when she heard footsteps approaching the laundry room.

Before the twinkling of an eye, she gave out a loud scream and fell on the ground, grabbing my apron. “Oh, Allison. What wrong did I ever do to you?”

I stared at her, confused. I was trying to wrap my head around what was going on when the door was thrown open. That was when I blinked my eyes in realization, the moment the Alpha walked in.

She increased the wailing, and I was gobsmacked. “She hurt me, and she's pretending to be hurt.”

“What did you do to Natalie?” Alpha Marcus yelled at me.

Flinching in fear, I shook my head in disagreement. “I did nothing to her.”

“My Alpha… My Alpha.” She crawled to him pitifully. “She hit me just because I gave her a few clothes to wash.”

“What are you…” I was about to say when Alpha Marcus shut me up with a slap that threw me unbalanced.

Tears circulated in my eyes as I struggled to open my left eye. My palm found its way to the slapped cheek. “Marcus, I did nothing to…”

Sniffing hard, Natalie alarmed. “How dare you call your Alpha by his name?”

Alpha Marcus glared at me in disgust. Without hesitation, he signaled his workers, and they rushed into the laundry room. Of course, without being told, I knew I was going to be punished.

“Take her to the basement. Give her ten strokes with the cable and let her starve for the whole day.” He ordered.

They dragged me out of the laundry room, and I could see the mischievous smile on Natalie's face.

“Moon Goddess, please grant me a strong, powerful wolf soon.”
