I had finished preparing dinner when Bryan came home. He was kind of quieter than usual. I called him to have his food.

He quietly sat looking at what I had prepared. "You didn't have to cook for me," He whispered.

"I wish to. Please eat." I smiled at him and rolled my eyes at him. "By the way, it's your house and your food."

A little grin appeared on his face which soon disappeared. I observe he's distant. He didn't speak until he had a bite of the food. He looked at me. "It tastes amazing."

"Thank you," I whispered. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine." He answered.

I nodded, not wanting to push the conversation further.

"Umm…you have to stay here all by yourself for sometime. I hope that will be okay."

I raised my head to look up at him. His head was bent low. Was he trying to avoid me?
