Thousands of thousand years ago, when the world is still young, a certain Utopia rises in the vast seas above the horizon. It omits a luminous light that allures different creatures –giants, beasts, fairies, angels, demons, werewolves and even humans, millions of miles away. It was a strong kingdom showered with prosperity.
However, the people live in conflict. Everyone wants to stand out more than anyone in wits and in power, and so, an internal war occurs. Thousands have died and the world went into chaos. The throne of the Ultimate was threatened. Other lands join forces trying to conquer the crown. But, the Ultimate King was a freak keen. Before everything turns into a burning hell, he divided the utopia into three realms: the Burgh Xelestia which comprise the Lightens, the Neitheria which holds the Darkens, and the Alluvium which contains the Mortals.
The Lightens are monstrous beings who fed on flesh and blood. They are wild humanlike pale creatures with bloodlust screaming in their veins. The Darkens are the deadly beasts of the dark power mostly composed of the beasts, demons, werewolves, and other beastly beings. They are the rulers of the nether world. And then, the Mortals which are considered as commoners –the lowest caste in the Utopia. Since mortals don’t possess any power, most of them are servants and slaves.
The Ultimate King has then bestow the absolute order, “Submit to the strong!”. They say, if one realm break the order, the curse will eat their souls and throw them in the black hole, the place with no ends.
Then, years have passed and the cold war ended. A new king was born as the new era emerge. With the power of the Ultimate King, he is proclaimed as the ruler of the Utopia and the three realms. He is Caelus, the King of Light. He has been seen as a god and a protector of the Utopia. The people are amazed and astonished by his prominent greatness.
So, they offer him a gift.
The most beautiful maiden with purity and sanity –the queen of Alluvium, Neferu. The pure maiden has burden the curse of the weakest. Despite her power as the queen of mortals, their impotent makes them the target of slavery and she has no choice but to oblige to the absolute rule and submit herself to the new king.
She leaves the mortal realm and rises above the skies to serve the Light King. Neither do they know, the fate has played its trump card. The two has broken the unspoken rule and fall in love with each other. But, in their despair, Caelus was afraid to loss his power as the Ultimate king so Neferu was left, betrayed by her love. The Light King disowned her and throw her back in the Mortal realm.
Neferu was hated. Her people dash daggers of insults and loathe. But they noticed something. A new seed was holding the string to life inside the maiden’s womb. Neferu was bearing the child of Caelus. Nevertheless, she was a forsaken woman thrown in the deepest despair of life. She has lost her throne and her lover betrayed her. And then, another curse was bestowed upon her.
The being who was considered a pure curse that wields the power of calamity. If one bears this cursed child, it must be killed in instant or the world will be in a dreadful disaster. A child of opposite races –a Lighten and a Darken child, a Lighten and a Mortal Child, and, a Darken and a Mortal child. They are called-
“What are you reading?”
“It’s an Archaeon book. I bought it in the relic market.”
The blast wind of the winter thrilled the whole ruins. The flipping sound of the book’s pages has echoed the place as the two girls cowers in cold. It is the Abyss, the empty place where deserted and runaway people gathered. The route that connects the Alluvium and the Neitheria.
Generally, this place is used for illegal slavery bargains and immigration spot. For years, the severed relationship between the Burgh Xelestia and Neitheria became more distant and the Alluvium’s people was divided by their beliefs of survival. And the people that has gathered in the Abyss are those who have went against both the opposing realms.
“Father has called us. The buyer has arrived,” the sadness has covered her voice as she caressed the girl in front of her. “Aria, you should be good, okay?”
These kids are sell as slaves through illegal bargains. A sad reality for the Utopian people who were thrown out and abandoned.
“Is this the place?” A Dybbuk has appeared in front of the ruins. Behind him is a wagon drove by the manticores, a demon creature with a lion body and a bird claws, a scorpion’s tail and wears a face of a mortal with a row of sharp fangs.
“Bonum vesperam, this is the child.” A green daemon has appeared in front of the door holding a girl shivering in fear. It was Aria, the mortal. The Dybbuk look at her keenly from head to toe and when he felt satisfied, he tossed a bag of golds to the green daemon.
The Dybbuk gestures to Aria saying, “Come”, while giving a signal to the manticores to ready for take-off. Aria shaking in awe steps forward embracing her things tightly into her chest. “Thank you for taking care of me, Mr. Daemon.” Aria, bids a farewell with a smile to his father.
As they move towards the endless route, Amelia runs toward the door waving her hand high as much as she can, “ARRIIAAAA!! Take care!” Aria looks at the wagon’s window and smile to her sister for the last time. It was short, but the orphan Aria formed a bond with the green Daemon family in a deserted city of no rules to follow.
Fast as the wind, the wagon has enter the city of the burning village. It was the entry to the Darken realm, the Neitheria. The remaining light at sight were enveloped by the darkness little by little. The cold air was changed into a hot breeze of a warm atmosphere. From afar, they can see the fire-like village with a blue flame as its sole light.
The road is filled with exotic, dreadful and evil creatures. The houses are old big trees, a fairylike threshold but more dark and evil. The lights are only blue that gives one a cold vibes but the air is hot.
"Aahhhh!", Aria was shocked to see the big orcs that shakes the ground as they move a step. They are walking like giants in the road, and one took a look at her that made her tremble in despair.
"Who are you?"
The girl is even more shocked when the Dybbuk sniffs her intensely. She noticed her lost control of her power and her disguise was dispel. "Y-you.."
"A Crossbreed!"
The Dybbuk cowers in fear and immediately jump unto her to kill her. However, Aria is a wielder. Since the Dybbuk is a spirit, it was eaten by her magic. She went out of the wagon at once and blended with the dark elves as her power erases her trace. But before the Dybbuk was totally devoured by darkness, he was able to send a signal to the manticores.
The manticores run wild and screams, "Karāsa nasala!", warning the village of the threat. Everyone went to panic and the village rains havoc and everything turns void...but--
There was someone standing in the center of the village. Covered with a cloak, she walks forward to the ends of the blue flame village as her shadow covered the darkness...
In ancient times, there was an existing being who was considered a pure curse that wields the power of calamity. If one bears this cursed child, it must be killed in instant or the world will be in a dire catastrophe. A child of opposite races –a Lighten and a Darken child, a Lighten and a Mortal Child, and, a Darken and a Mortal child. They are called-
The Crossbreeds.
Hard footsteps of shining armors roar within the dark forest. As the coldness of the night envelopes the creep of the darkness, capturing the beauty of the moon, a mother and a child is running within the dim lights, chasing for their lives..."Aria, you stay here okay? I'll be back in a minute!""M-momm...I'm scared...Wh-y are they chasing us? Did we did something wrong?""Hussshhh!!!... Listen, Aria. You are a very special child. Just stay here and only...Only go out when the first ray of the dawn comes out. Promise me!""But Mom! I--""Hide, Aria!"The mother ran to the dim lights of the moon, luring the Lightens out of her daughter's life..."BOOOGSSHH!", a loud bang of the door has woken up the sleeping beauty of the u
"Become my wife?", Aria pushes the hunk man away from her with full desperation. She cannot find any words to say about what the man has just said. "Who the hell are you?""Me?--Can't you tell where you are right now?"The man sits on a chair surmounted by a canopy, and set on a dais-like golden walnut seat characterized by a raveled carving of a wolf stamping on its preys. The man lays his head on his wrist crossing his legs and looks at Aria in the eyes. "Now... Can you already tell who you are talking to?"Aria bluntly lays an eye on the man shortly and instead, let her eyes explore the entirety of the room. She notices the structure of the room clearly as the once dark, now lit up place displays its form."You're kidding, right? I can't--" Aria feels devastated realizing the situation she got into. The room is classic and meticulous with the round red king bed placed on the center and the King's
That night, Aria's thoughts are clouded by uncertainties. Conri's words has been bothering her since the announcement of their wedding. She rolled over the round bed and look at the enchanting half-moon glowing in the balcony.Conri told her to stay in his lair so that she can be safe without him at nights. There is a legion of hell soldiers guarding her behind the twin dragons’ door and servants that will take care of her while the king and her soon to be husband is away for his duties as the ruler of the nether world. She can't stop thinking about the warning her about to be husband has said before he depart for an odyssey in the south borders. "My queen, my journey will take long. These soldiers and servants will be with you while I'm still away. Take your time and explore my realm but- don't you dare enter the west woods..." What is in that place that I am not allowed to enter; her thought listening to what he said. This has
The blast whirl of sand blows down the empty land of south Neitheria. The place is arid, dusty, and dry. The voice of the harsh winds echo through the unseen horizon beyond the starry night with only the smiling moon as its light. Behind these spectacular view, seven shadows of people in red cloaks are sighted standing in the middle of the borders… “What a sight! They really are going all out tonight, huh?” “Hey, are you hiding with your tail in front, Matt?” “NO! You should be—“ “Everyone…” “ARE YOU READY TO RUN WILD?” The six look at the person in their middle with adornment. It was Conri in his werewolf form, whitest and mischievous looking at the battalion of Lighten armies. “Now…”, he raises both of his hands heightening the excitement everyone is feeling. “Let’s run free!”--- Everyone scatters shouting from the ends of their breath. Each of Conri’s squad take on one army on their own and face them with bewilderment. On th
“Who would visit me, anyway?”, Aria asks the two servants curiously while walking back to the castle. The three are holding baskets of roses- blue, pink, white, purple, and red. Behind them are the hell soldiers that are ordered to give an eye to the soon to be queen of Neitheria.“It must be one of the Darken races who wants to give you their blessings!”, Annie told her confidently. Aria frown her forehead taking second thoughts on what Annie said. She is somewhat afraid of the possibility of the chasers who have been after her life since she escape the black hole, the place with no ends in her mind.“Probably... let’s just put it that way, I guess?” Aria makes herself believe the safest option. It can’t be possible that those chasers can track her this easily. She looks at the two young mortals beside her playing with each other.“I thought we can enter the West woods this time...” L
Aria has been longing for love and belongingness ever since she was a child. She wanders and wanders, hoping that someone will accept her despite her appearance and curse. When King Conri said that he wanted to marry her and become his wife, a part of heart flatters in the calmest way. It feels like an old thorn was pulled out of her numb emotions. For the first time, for sixteen years, Aria feels happy.Yet..."ARIA! What did you do?""C-conri...I-I..." Weaken by her fading energy source, Aria tries to stand up and speak to Conri who's carrying the two young mortals to his arms in distressed. It is evident in his eyes the disappointment and anger towards the maiden in front of him, struggling to make her stance. But what Conri saw already tells everything. His heart and mind already close its doors to listen to her talks.Conri walks back to the castle quilted. Nevertheless, he still took a glimpse of Aria in his peripheral view. She's crying rivers, mum
"Aw! What was that?" Conri murmurs in pain. He stands up from lying head's down on the floor and sees Aria's wide open mouth staring at him in a blow. Then a moment of silence has envelope the room. Conri is the first to let go of his eyes and walks towards his closet. They seems to have develop some distance after what happened in the West woods. On the other hand, dismay is visible in Aria's eyes and is totally bothered by Conri's cold treatment just a second ago. She gets out of bed, confused, wanting to ask about waking up in Conri's bed rather than the icing grasses of the forest, as well as asks for forgiveness about what she had done. She comes near to Conri's wardrobe looking away at the undressed hunky man inside. "C-" She was cut off..."Get dressed. We have an important visitor today!" Conri walks out of the wardrobe without giving an eye to the silent Aria beside the door. He walks straight to the twin doors with no words and not anything. Nonetheles
It is time for Aria to ready herself for the upcoming wedding. It's been weeks after the incident in the west woods and Conri is still on the dark cold mode. Lucia and Annie are no longer serving her but she is trying to get in touch with them. She always asks the other servants where the two young maidens are transferred yet no one would even answer her.Today is her fitting day. The fairies of the eastern borders have come to the castle to take her measurements. The fairy of Rose is the one making her veil. The fairy of Marygold will be for her upper garments and the fairy dust for the lower garments. The dwarves are also there. Their work is to make the perfect shoes for the new queen of Neitheria."It seems to be so busy today, right Rosie?""I can't wait to see her wear the dress made by our race.""21...30...16...24-""Bring it here! Yeah! That! That one!"The whole castle is in absolute mess. A lot of darkens has al
How long has it been? How long has it been since the intruder arrived at the fearsome land of the dreadful beasts? Aria has long been accustomed to the surroundings. She no longer whines and get scared over odd and peculiar things around her.It is the third night after their wedding. The room's corner is filled with different books and there, lying in her soft pillowcase is the new queen of Neitheria. Aria is reading a book about pleasuring one's husband. Odd, isn't it?"I have decided to accept my fate!" there she said it. She thinks that there's no point going against her destiny. Conri also offer her strength and will protect her for all his life. But she didn't know that his vow is an empty promise. His hidden desires is buried to the deepest of his soul that Aria couldn't sense any of it."Oh! Honeymoon? What is this food?" she excitedly asks.In the mortal realm, specifically for elites, Honeymoon is a luxurious period of harmony for a newly
A fragile royal glass has fallen to ground that creates a trembling noise of a surprise. Conri is standing on his throne with his eyes and mouth wide open. He seems shocked over something. The servants are bowing to the ground, shivers in fear. The terror of the Darken King envelopes the whole hall..."W-what did you say?"mutters KIng Conri to the man in kneeling in front of him."You have heard it right, my Liege. The siblings were sent out of the clinic room before your wed and your cousin was there to pick them up. But..."His fists clinches in rage. He doesn't know how things ended when he even raise the security for everyone's safety. He remembers his wife. Aria has been looking for the two servants ever since he separated the three."Alright...Let's just assume that the two are with the company of Fabien. I'll look at things here. Thank you for informing me.""As you wish, my Liege." the hell soldier bows."...Also-" utters Conri. "Thi
Encantos are celestial beings that has been living with us in a parallel world. They take on the same physiques as mortals but they similarly homogenize with fairies. They live in a world just the same as us but the only difference is that, they are unseen to those unworthy to see them.Lord Fabien and Lucia is following the encantos who let themselves revealed. They walk to the brown and drab path between the autumn trees. The air is cold but the sun is out keeping its hotness to the ground. As they walk, the two spot odd animals on the way. A very friendly skvader has been following them since they enter the cold forest. It has a peasant body and a pair of wings as an epitome of an eagle. Lucia sometimes look back with adornment in her eyes, taking a sneak peak to the skvader behind the trees."What is it doing?" asks Lucia to the Encantos."Oh, it's Peter. He must be curious of your presence." explains the Encanto. "I'm Lieve. I am the leader of our sq
The most awaited day has come and the penalry of the nether world rejoices in triumph..."The crowd is gathering! I can't believe Con is really getting married, Royu." Esca showers crystal waters in the venue while sneakily snatches drinks and foods on the tables."What are you doing, Esca? You're drunk!" Royu accompanies her as they guards the internal venue and the rest on the boundaries. Apparently, Conri seems unsatisfied and wants to strengthens the security in the ceremony for some unexplainable reasons."I'm not. Why would you say that?" slumps Esca not too far from the Hinterhof. They limit themselves from being seen by the Darkens who come to the ceremony."You're slumping! Stop it, release the alcohol in your body!" complains the bothered Royu as he drags the tipsy Esca out of the line of sight of the people."Oh, is this a bird?" Esca amazingly points on the flying creature."NO, it's a butterfly you idiot!"It is a summer
Unknown of the other vicious event, Conri and Aria are having a special night under the touch of the lovely half moon. Turning back to the time when King Conri gifted her the dress, a message was also left behind to the cloth which says to meet him in the top of the castle when the first half moon appears, night before the awaited day. And, now... The dimlights casted by the moon sparkles the alexandrite stone castle. They stay in a turret where the moon is widely open. Conri prepares the red blanket where he sprinkles it with white rose petals. He surrounds the blanket with small lit-up candles and a tray of crimson grapes and green apples. The air is cold but the ambiance gives a hot, romantic vibes, especially when Aria finally arrives at the spot wearing a fitted midi satin slip white dress with a spaghetti strap. "H-hi..." "Oh, you have arrived. Come! Sit with me." Conri takes her hand and guides her to his side. Aria seems confused at the romant
W-what is this place?" the dark place echoes an adenoidal, breathy, disembodied tiny voice from afar. Splashes of waters are heard as the black bats chirps hanging above the walls."I-it's so dark.""Aw, thank you. Y-you have such an amazing ability."The echoed sound of the disembodied voices are coming nearer and louder. The loud splashes of waters has stopped as if someone has been walking in the waters awhile ago. The ray of a torching light that traverse the rough path created by tap roots is getting bigger and lighter."We're under the old tree, isn't it Lord Fabien?""Yeah, it seems that way, looking at this big arm roots and the structure of the walls above." Fabien moves the waning torch to the surroundings."I feel like we've been wandering here for ages already. Are y-you sure that my little sister is here?" Lucia says in a brittle tone. She is terribly shaking in cold behind the werewolf hell general. They are walking step by ste
"Uhh, I guess I was late, huh!" he settles in the branch he was standing and folds his arms crossed close to his body. He intently stares at the beautiful maiden happily glaring at the moon with her dress hugged into her arms. "Well, at least you're happy..." He satisfies himself and full his eyes with the enchanting scenery. He turns his eyes to the crumbled box and sigh, "She's so pure and beautiful. But she can't be mine..." he mutters in a sad tone. He looks again at the balcony where Aria is but she's no longer there. He shrugs his shoulders and just glimpse with the smiling moon being concealed vividly by the dancing leaves of the small twigs from above. Marqus is always watching Aria from a far; to the balcony, to the flower garden, to the outside, and even follows her whenever she wanders to the woods. Apparently, it was a love at first touch. When Aria took care of his clot when Conri accidentally slap him with a plate. For him, it is the first
It is the third day of the preparations and Aria is currently in her small round table beside the balcony's rails, folding the last letter of invitation for the grand wedding. She pulled a red rose mark on the envelope's edge and picks up all the handmade letters she made with flower petals as decorations. She adds blue ribbons in each and puts them in a basket. She let her tired eyes explore the green forest in front of the balcony and let go of a big sigh. Her graze to the soft and glossy thin papers brought shivers of excitement and at the same time, anguish. While procrastinating, a soulful image of her late mother suddenly flashes in her mind when she remembers the dress she have seen in the tailor store. "Uh-ahh, I guess I'll go back there to clear my uneasy thoughts!" She stands up and grabs the basket of letters back to the room. She glides to her closet to choose a dress to wear. She slip a glimpse of the beautiful dresses and decides to pick the vir
Lucia shouted at the top of her lungs. She can't believe that she lost her own little sister in her presence. The cold night has swallowed her voice and only her sobs are left to hear. She can only sulks herself to the freezing ground, just one step on the exit of the woods."Why? Why? Whyyyy?" She yells and yells, asking the world the reason. She knows the culprit and she knows she can't do anything to them because they're more powerful than anyone else."What happened?""Lord Fab-bien?""Lucia, what are you doing here? Where's Annie? I heard a voice from the castle's gate." Fabien helps Lucia stand on her feet carefully. He notices the uneasiness of the young maiden and the odd feeling he has been sensing since he arrived at the area. "Tell me, is there something wrong going on?""L-lord Fabien...help me!" Lucia's voice cracks into tears. She feels like her world has suddenly falls apart after witnessing that tragedy. Her knees are shaking to the
