“Samuel,” Ciara called out breathlessly.

They both stared at each other, almost standing closely; Ciara in the dark and Samuel in the light.

They were like two worlds colliding together, unsuited, but definitely drawn together by forces they had no control over.

Ciara was shocked, relieved, anxious, and all the emotions in between, and so was Samuel feeling. For an instant, they both just stared at each other.

“You came,” Ciara said, her voice low, and it had something to do with how she felt staring at Samuel Fury whom she hadn’t seen in such a long time. It felt as though they were apart from each other for years, and not just a couple of days, or maybe weeks.

Ciara had completely concluded that Samuel was not going to show up, because not only was he delaying, he was also not taking his calls.
