Behind her Unconsciousness

Ciara devoured the full plate of meal that Aunt Quinton had served her. If an elephant was presented to her right there and then, Ciara would eat it all up at a go. She was so famished that she shameless ate up what she was served, and thankfully, the food was well made.

“After he knocked you off, he went for the knife,” Aunt Quinton stood beside Ciara and explained.

Ciara hadn’t even asked for the full story yet, but she was somehow grateful that the woman was freely dishing them out to her. After she had managed to get Samule Fury off her back with the confrontation, Ciara had fallen on the bed and taken long hours of sleep. When Aunt Quinton entered her room to wake her up for dinner, she mentioned to Ciara that she had been worried, because Ciara had been sleeping for more than three hours. For Ciara, that was the longest she had slept for a long time now.
