1— Graduated With Honours

Anita Baker had just graduated from the university. She was a 24-year-old woman and the first daughter of her parents. She had five younger sisters. Her father was a banker, and her mother was a trader.

Anita had a fair complexion, beautiful figure, and sexy, curvy hips. The rest of her sisters were dark-skinned, while she was fair.

Futhermore, Anita resembled her mother, but was even more beautiful. Sometimes, her father accused her mother of infidelity and doubted that he was truly Anita's father because of her fair skin, but her mother had always kept quiet about it and told Anita not to listen to her father, stating that she was truly his child.

Anita's father had even threatened to do a DNA test on her to ascertain if she was truly his child, as he couldn't understand why she was the fairest of his children, unlike the rest of her sisters.

Anita's younger sister, Flora, who was a 22-year-old dark-skinned woman, also disliked her. About four of her sisters disliked her, except for her youngest sister, Glory Baker, who genuinely loved her.

When they say "blood is thicker than water," well, in Anita's case, water held more value than blood.

Anita's father, Mr. Joshua Baker, continued sending her to the university to further her education, but he accused his wife of cheating on him in the past and forcing another man's child on him, so that he would marry her. However, he still sent Anita to the university to study business administration.

Anita was thrilled as she wrote her final exams, and the result emerged in bright colors.

Due to Anita's father's accusations against her calm mother, Mrs. Tonia Baker, Anita had refused to accept any relationship from any guy who asked her out on a date or to become his partner.

Anita only went on dates with men, but she ended up rejecting their love proposals.

Anita's best friend at the university, Temisa Patrick, had advised her to give love a chance. But Anita refused and said, "My father constantly accused my mother of cheating on him. Yet he still went to her, got her pregnant with six children, and he still abused her. My mother said that my father loves her, but his daily insults to her didn't show us that he genuinely loves her like she thinks."

Anita shook her head in disappointment as she spoke to her best friend, Temisa Patrick, inside their hostel room when they were still in their second year at the private university.

Many handsome guys were vying to become Anita's boyfriend, but she didn't want them and felt they only wanted to use her. And once a guy crossed the bridge and broke her virginity, he would change and dump her or accuse her of cheating on him, just like how her father constantly accused her mother of cheating on him, causing her mother and herself depression.

Anita sat on a chair in the hostel that she shared with Temisa Patrick. They were preparing for their final year graduation party.

"Anita, I am so happy. Finally, we will be leaving this school. I cannot explain how much I have missed home already," Temisa said.

"Me too," Anita faintly replied, knowing that it was not entirely true with her, as she disliked home and knew that she would be facing her father's constant insults towards herself and her mother. He would claim that she was not his child, while her three younger sisters—(Flora, Esther, and Favor)—would want to torment her, calling her an "outcast" out of jealousy of her beauty.

Anita shook her head in disappointment, and Temisa noticed.

"What is wrong, girlfriend? You don't seem to look happy, even though you are graduating as one of the best students in our university today," Temisa asked, standing up from her chair that was facing the mirror. She then walked up to meet Anita, who sat on the chair alone, shaking her head in disappointment, instead of packing her box of clothes to return home.

"What's the problem, dear?" Temisa asked again as she approached and crouched in front of Anita.

"Don't worry, girlfriend. When I get home, I will talk to my mother to allow you to come live with us, even though it is just for your internship, until you get a better job to cater for yourself," Temisa said.

"Thank you," Anita faintly replied, knowing that Temisa deeply cared about her, but she didn't want her best friend to worry.

"You're welcome, dear. You know that you're like a sister to me. So you don't have to worry much, as graduating with a first-class is no joke. And you should be happy, as today is your most blessed day. Come and sit here in front of the mirror, let me help you apply some makeup on your face," Temisa said, gently pulling Anita to stand up from her chair and to walk with her to sit on the chair that was facing the mirror in their shared room.

"You know that I don't like makeup on my face," Anita said as she stood up and walked up to sit on the chair that Temisa pulled out for her in front of the big mirror.

"I know, but today is your lucky day. So you should look lovely when you're accepting your awards as the best graduating student today at our university. No more excuses from you; just do this for me, okay? It will make you smile throughout the whole of today and brighten your mood," Temisa said, and she opened one of her makeup boxes and started preparing her makeup brush to brighten her best friend's mood.

"Alright," Anita replied, and she stared at her beautiful reflection in the mirror.

Temisa then started applying the beautiful brown powder to Anita's face, working on her eyelashes, cheeks, and nose.

Once Temisa was through decorating Anita's face with beautiful makeup, Anita was stunned by her new transformation in the mirror, as she resembled a beauty goddess.

"Wow!" Anita gasped, clearly intrigued by her new appearance.

Anita had never worn makeup before, and staring at her reflection, she was speechless. She now understood why Temisa had so many boyfriends.

Temisa was a billionaire's daughter, and her father worked for the Benson Group, one of the biggest companies in their state. The Benson family was also one of the richest in their country. Anita had read about the Benson family online and wished she could get an application to work with the famous company. This was why she studied hard and read day and night, just to graduate as one of the best students in her department.

Anita had thought of asking Temisa for her father's help to apply to the Benson Group, but she knew that if she did that, it might seem like she was trying to gain a favor that she did not merit, and make others see her as a gold digger or a lady who is selling out her body to men to gain favor from them. So she decided to submit her own application to the company by herself.

"All done now. Don't you see how you look so sweet in the mirror? Oh my god! I am the best makeup artist here on campus!" Temisa fans herself with her fingers to blow a breeze on her face.

Anita smiles at her sweetly and replied, "Don't overhype yourself too much because of me, girlfriend. Yes, you tried, but no, I still don't like makeup," she admitted.

"Shut up. I am hoping that a handsome man will see you today and ask you out," Temisa giggled, because everything to her was about relationships. She was actually mean when it came to relationships, as she changed her boyfriend every month like pants.

Temisa was in multiple relationships and didn't care what her fellow ladies had to say. She didn't believe in love and rather spent her time dating different men. Well, she didn't admit to sleeping with any of the men that she had gone out on a date with, as she only claimed to snap pictures with them.

This was something difficult to believe, as Anita didn't believe her, since Temisa is usually spotted with different men at the beach, in a restaurant, and in a club, taking different photos with them. Yet she claimed she's still a virgin, after Anita also told her she was also a virgin.

Anita didn't believe Temisa, as she believed that a virgin was supposed to be calm and keeping to herself, so no guy will use her. But Temisa dressed hot, wearing bum-shorts, crop tops, and all sorts of seductive, tempting wear.

Temisa was a dark-skinned beauty, with a sexy figure like Anita's. But she isn't jealous of Anita's being light-skinned, as they're in the same department and also studied the same course, which made them become best friends.

Anita was more intelligent than Temisa, while Temisa was the party-hard type.

"Let's go outside now. I am sure that most of our family members would have arrived for the party," Temisa said, as she quickly packed her remaining things into her box, keeping her make-up kits, and she zippee her box of clothes.

Temisa had rented the room where they're staying, so they stayed back most of the time in the room, even though the university was on holiday.

It was their final year to say goodbye. Anita dragged her two boxes of clothes, as she was already going back home after the awarding ceremony ended.

They step out to witness the university's final event and the awarding of the best graduating student.

Anita Baker was called and awarded a first-class award and recognition for her academic excellence.

Temisa was smiling as she sat in the crowd and clapped for her best friend, who stepped out from where she was seated in the crowd and walked out to receive her awards.
