The following day, Remus went back home. He needed to be in control of everything that was happening and he could only do that when he was within the house.
''What do we have Brett?'' Remus asked
''Nothing really. Everything has been quiet but i think you should go see your father.'' Brett said.
''Oh shit!'' Remus sighed.
That was when she realized that he hadn't seen his father in such a long time. There was no doubt now that the old man would have been worried. What kind of a son was he? A son who wouldn't go check up on his father and see how he was doing.
Daniella got the rude shock of Mark's death from one of his men one fateful morning. When she had called Remus a few weeks ago, he never told her about it but as she thought about it now she realized that there was really no need for him to tell her.In fact, that was his plan. He preferred she heard it from somewhere and got shocked by it than him telling her. His plan had worked perfectly well and Daniella found her heart racing. She had been with Mark for all of six months and in those times, she was perfectly sure that Mark would destroy Remus but boy had she been so wrong.''I need to get on with my plans.'' Daniella murmured. She picked up the paper on her table, looking through it to make sure that e
''So you actually think I kidnapped Sylvia? I mean my own wife? How dumb can you be?'' Remus laughed. The policemen, seeing that there was no need for them to stick around, left the mansion. It was very clear to them that Daniella had given them wrong information. They didn't want to be in Lowell's wrath and the best thing they could do was to hand the case off completely.''I'll get you for this, i surely will.'' Daniella vowed before running away. She literally ran as left the house, leaving Remus and Brett in fits of laughter. They never knew that Daniella was this made an individual.''We still need to find Sylvia.'' Remus said.''I'm sure we-''Brett's words were cut off when they saw Sylvia approaching from the main doors. They could hardly believe what they were seeing. She looked healthy, didn't look hurt at all, which was a miracle to them.''Sylvia.'' Remus cried out.He rushed towards her, hugging her. He didn't want to shed a tear but he was having a hard time keeping his
''Be careful!'' Sylvia called out.But it was too late, Remus had already taken off like the speed of light. Sylvia looked all around her, trying to see if there were more threats but apparently, there wasn't. Whoever had sent that flying saucer meant business and the person was here to destroy. She rushed back into the house, grabbing her phone to call Brett. With Remus gone now to probably fight whoever it was, he needed all the help he could get and the only person who could give him that was Brett.''Hello… Brett, can you hear me?'' Sylvia asked. There was a panicked look in her eyes as she held the phone tighter. She was scared, not only for her life but that of Remus. If there was one thing Remus never shied away from, it was a battle and this, what had happened was a clear testament to the fact that he was born to battle.''Baby girl, are you alright? You sound pissed?'' Brett asked.''Yes, i sound pissed and even more than that.'' Sylvia cried. She then explained everything to
''How do you feel? And I really don't want that generic answer Sylvia, tell me how you feel. Completely.'' Brett said.Sylvia took a deep breath, looking at the sky above them. There were many emotions she was feeling in that moment but the one that was prominent was tiredness. Sylvia was tired and it showed in her face. She couldn't quite understand why their lives were a constant battle of guns, bombs and now, a freaking saucer was against them. It was all too much for her to bear. This wasn't what she signed up for when she got married to Remus.''I'm tired… honestly. I really don't understand why we have to keep fighting things and people every day. Everyday, we don't even know if we will see the
RemusI stared at Sylvia with so many emotions running through my mind. I was angry, enraged, sad and bitter. It was easier when I focused on one emotion but to have two to three running through my mind was something I hated. It made me feel uncomfortable, like I was desperately trying to get rid of a stubborn itch from my body.''Boss, what do we do now?'' one of my men asked. The real question was that I didn't know what to do. If it were another person who did this, lord knows i would have killed the person on the spot but this was Sylvia, my mate and wife so it wasn't easy taking a rash decision just like that.''Leave us.'' I simply said.If I was to do something, I didn't want to do it in their presence. I had to give Sylvia the respect she deserves no matter what. They left silently, shutting the door behind them. I looked at Sylvia who was still unconscious on the bed my men had dropped her on. Seeing her like this just reminded me of the fact that she was very beautiful. With
''I forgive you Sylvia. I don't hold anything against you.'' Remus smiled.Sylvia sighed, thinking about what she did that day. She couldn't quite understand why she did what she said but she was quite glad that she didn't go way above that. If she had done so, there was no way that Remus would ever forgive her.''Thank you.'' Sylvia smiled.''It's okay. Come here.'' Remus smiled.Sylvia walked up to him just as he cradled her body. He wanted to comfort her as best as he could. No one was above mistakes and he wouldn't be fair to her if he kept on blaming her. He had done far worse to her and he knew it.''Have you seen Brett in a while?'' Sylvia asked.Ever since the attack, Brett had been acting strangely. Sylvia and Remus didn't know what transpired when the fight was on but whatever it was, they had a feeling that there was something more to it but Brett wasn't coming forward.''He just dropped by yesterday. There's really nothing he said just to see how everything is going.'' Rem
''Baby girl, are you in?'' Remus asked.''Hey baby yes… yes, i'm here.'' Sylvia said.Remus smiled, walking further into the room. He needed to tell her about something and if he didn't do that now, he knew he would forget completely.''Are you alright?'' he asked. She was breathing heavily like she was escaping from something or trying to hide something. He couldn't quite place what it was which worried him to no end.''Yes… yes, I'm fine. I just… came out of the bathroom.'' She lied.Sylvia hated doing that but she had no other option. It was either that or risk getting caught with the book and the latter was what she didn't want.''I see.'' Remus said. She knew that he didn't believe her but he wasn't going to push it. He had other things on his mind that needed sorting out.''What's up?'' Sylvia asked.''Oh nothing really. I just came to inform you that I'll be traveling for a few days. There's something I need to take care of ASAP. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and Brett will
''Baby how are you doing?'' Remus asked. It's been two days since he left and two days of her missing him badly. Sylvia didn't know how she survived staying without him all these days but if there was one thing she knew and wanted, it was that she wanted to be like that till he came back. The strength to stay strong was what she wanted and needed at least until Remus got back home. As they talked, Sylvia's mind went to the mysterious key in her possession. Even up until now, she couldn't make sense of what that key was. It was old and also very odd but one thing she knew was that she had to find an answer to it.''Are you there?'' Remus asked.Sylvia had grown so quiet, he thought she might have slept off on the phone. Even from where he was, Remus had a feeling that there was something on her mind, something she was thinking of but he didn't know what it was.''Yes… I'm here. Sorry, i just spaced out a bit.'' Sylvia sighed.''Is everything alright? You seem off kind of.'' Remus said.
