Chapter 87

Sylvia didn't know how to begin but she knew she had to begin from somewhere. It was very difficult to say. This was a secret she had sworn to keep till eternity and telling them now would break that promise but this needed to be done.

''Mark's mother died when he was little.'' Sylvia began.

''Yes Sylvia, we know that.'' Brett said.

''And then his father remarried. There was a peace in the household or so everyone thought until Mark's step mother died.'' Sylvia said.

Remus was having a bad feeling about all of this, a very bad feeling indeed. He didn't know where this was headed but there was something nagging him at the back of his mind that it wouldn't end well.

''Okay.'' Brett said.

''Mark killed her. Threw her off the balcony.'' Sylvia said finally.

For several minutes, neither Brett nor Remus could utter a word. Remus was expecting to hear something bad but never in his life would he have expected this. This was all shades of sick and disgusting.

''No… no shit! You're kidding me
