For several minutes, Sylvia couldn't utter a single word. She didn't know if what she was hearing from him was the truth or it was just some kind of silly joke. She staggered back, landing on the bed in agony. She felt a pain in her chest she just couldn't understand. It was a pain so great that she could barely breathe.

Sylvia couldn't help but think that Daniella had won. This was what she always wanted and she had gotten it which made the whole situation worse. It just seemed like Sylvia was the fool now, that was the only thing she could think of and it hurt because Remus had hurt her feelings. In fact, he had shattered everything she believed in him.
