I woke up with a throbbing headache.
Opening my eyes I squinted at the shrill of light attacking my pupils from my bedroom window. A yawn escaped my lips as I wiped the tiredness from my eyes.
Damn, officially the worst hangover ever.
I swallowed a couple of times, swirling my tongue around my dry gums to generate some saliva.
Scratching my head, I unsuccessfully attempted to arrange the unruly strands, eventually allowing the unattractive mop of hair to remain.
I jumped as I felt movement next to me, turning around I looked down at the blonde lying next to me, her curly mass of disorderly hair was spread across the pillow, tickling my arm. I nudged her a couple of times before she got up.
"Michelle, get up." I poked her face, watching as her eyes slowly began to flutter open. Her icy blue orbs stared at me in confusion.
"What the hell?" She questioned coarsely, lifting her wrist to read the time. I jumped when she suddenly began to shout. "It's one pm! Why are we still in bed? Our parents are going to kill us!" Still a little hung over it took me a while to process this information before my eyes finally widened in fear.
My fear heightened as Mich suddenly began to shout again. "Wait, why are we in bed together?"
Simultaneously we peered under the covers, our hearts beating furiously as we checked to see what did or did not lay underneath the cover.
We both relaxed at our fully-clothed attires, we must have passed out at some point.
"Wicked party yesterday Floss, definitely one I'll remember." She laughed, breaking the silence. I tilted my head, baffled until the memories rushed back to me, the events of last night clear in my mind.
"Shit! Michelle you have to leave, now!" I urged, frantically pushing her body off the bed, throwing her hoodie and make up bag along with her.
"What? Why?" She pouted, grabbing the stuff I had carelessly thrown at her.
"My dad gets back from his trip in an hour, that's barely enough time for me to shower and clean up all the mess everybody made yesterday. I'm doomed if he finds out." I was specifically ordered not to have people over yet I did it anyway. I am so screwed. Now I'm panicking. Being the only daughter of the Alpha was never easy especially when you had the reputation of being a nonchalant, reckless teen. My father has constantly threatened to constrict my movements around the territory by caging me to the confines of the pack house and this time I feared, if I messed up again, he'd really do good on his promise.
"Go Mich, hurry." I sighed in relief as she hastily ran out of room.
Blindly reaching for a packet of aspirin and a bottle of water, I popped out two tablets and drank them both.
Slightly better, I immediately got to work, literally sprinting to the living room. I staggered back in shock to find the place squeaky clean and my father, Alpha James, casually sipping on a mug of coffee.
"Ah, morning Felicity, sleep well?" He asked in high spirits, taking another sip from the steaming mug.
"I guess. You're back early." I offhandedly noted.
"Yeah, there was a last minute vacancy in the earlier flight, so I thought, why not? The sooner I see my lovely daughter, the better." He smiled warmly at me. I frowned, searching for any sign of duplicity in his voice.
"Thanks dad." I smiled, going over to the coffee machine to make my own cup.
"But when I came in-" He continued. "-I saw Michelle running out of our house, but I must have been seeing things, right? I mean, I did tell Felicity not to invite anyone over and she would never disobey my orders." He chimed with feigned enthusiasm.
I turned around in dread, cringing inwardly at my father's narrowing eyes, he knew. "Dad..."
He held up his hand as a sign for me to stop talking."Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I thought nothing of it and went about my normal day; upon opening the door I see a pair of condoms lying on the floor, broken glass everywhere and countless cigarette buds! Felicity you see why I cannot trust you? This is absolutely unexceptable and irresponsible behaviour and this time there will be consequences." Glancing everywhere but at him, I noticed a discarded cigar and bit my tongue, pointing this out would dig an already consuming hole.
I looked up when he cleared his throat. "You are banned from leaving the pack house for two months, under any circumstances. If it is extremely important, come and find me or Toby." I didn't voice out my disagreement at the terms of my punishment, I was expecting it. After all I did completely trash the living room. "Secondly..." I played with my last remaining acrylic nail disinterested; some time during last night I had managed to lose nine of them. "You will accompany me to every meeting with the neighbouring Alphas for the next four months, including the one this afternoon." He finished.
I dropped my mug onto the dining table, staring up at my father, speechless. "You're not serious." There was no way I was going to that three hour seminar amongst middle aged men, I'd rather give up alcohol.
"On the contrary Felicity, we leave in four hours. Go shower, eat, do whatever young girls your age do, but at the stoke of five, we go downstairs to welcome our guests."
"But daddy-"
"No Felicity, I have been extremely lenient with you these several months because I thought it was simply a phase, but that is clearly not the case, so proper discipline will be in order from now on." I didn't have the chance to say anything more, his phone suddenly began to ring and he left to take the call.
I took an enduring chug of the scalding beverage, slamming it onto the table in anger.
"Just great." I muttered, glaring at the shattered mug. Rolling my eyes at the blood pouring down my hand. I quickly washed it off before clearing up the mess.

"You're right Alpha Drake, but I don't think we should go for the hawk approach, invading their territory would only result in an immediate retaliation and the last thing we want is mass blood shed within our packs." My father stood tall, emanating power and authority as he outlined the Vampire basis and proposed a plan of action.
I sat still, running my hands through my hair in boredom, I have been here for exactly one hour, watching in annoyance as the men constantly swayed back and forth between a final decision.
I mean seriously, MAKE YOUR MINDS UP!
"Their clan is accumulating to an uncontainable amount and if we don't do something about it quickly, we will be at war - meaning lives lost and communities destroyed - we cannot allow that to happen. I suggest we get somebody on the inside, promise him money, a pack, whatever he wants to ensure we always remain one step ahead." Another Alpha, who's name was unknown to me, suggested. There were so many in the room that my brain simply could not cope with the vast amount of names.
"I agree Alpha Logan, I think this is our best and only option in order to avoid death to our loved ones. Make him swear secrecy before sending him back to the Vampires." Swearing secrecy is a big deal in the world of a werewolf, the promise is thought to be sent directly to the Moon Goddess herself and if it is broken, your mate will die a painful and tragic death within seven days. A myth nobody has dared to fuck with.
One Alpha snorted, his face morphing into that of disgust. "Who would want to be a vampire?"
Another Alpha laughed. "You'd be surprised how much people crave immortality."
"Send a woman in, there are usually the last suspects, it would be much easier to go out and come back unnoticed." Another Alpha input and my eyes widened at his words.
"But they are too fragile, sending them into the front line is risky, if she is found out, she will most certainly crack under the pressure." Alpha Saunders argued, completely disregarding the fact that he was sitting right next to me.
I stood up, clearly not acknowledged in the small meeting room aka my father's office.
"I'm going to get a drink." I announced, leaving the room without waiting for a reply.
The idea of war should scare me, however, I felt nothing except boredom, the thought of Vampires attacking my family and I was daunting, but I was confident it wouldn't come to that, my father was a great leader and he would surely keep us safe.
I was more worried about opposing Alpha's more than Vampires themselves. Opposing Alphas infamously included Jax Fitzgerald, Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, he had previously been involved in his own Rogue War, coming out victorious without the help of other neighbouring packs. Killing the Alpha's brother, he sent his head to his family; as if that wasn't enough, he seduced the leader's sister to her own demise, enrolling her as a pack low rank for the pleasure of others until she finally killed herself at the news of her family's death. He struck where the Rogue Alpha was most vulnerable and it paid off.
Alpha Jax Fitzgerald was ruthless, powerful and cold, which is partly why he was a valuable asset, everyone needed his cunning mind and without him I saw a loss in our future. While the Chosen have yet to be selected, the chances of them coming from his pack were high.
I felt sorry for the unlucky girl the Moon Goddess entangled him with.
Taking the glass of water with me, I skipped back to the meeting room.
I came to an abrupt halt as a delicious scent wafted through me, the musky aroma of pine cones and spices entwined to produce a scent that could only be described as perfection. Searching for the source of the smell, I gasped as my eyes narrowed onto a tall male, his back was turned to me, but I could already feel my body moving towards him like a magnet. His tousled brown hair blew effortlessly in the breeze of the open window.
He is my mate. He had to be.
I'VE FOUND MY MATE! I looked around in panic.
Hell. No.
Covering my mouth with my hand, I slowly reversed, tip- toeing back the way I came. I was definitely not ready for a mate, not now, not ever.
Turning around I prepared to make my escape until a warm hand rested on my shoulder. "Don't. Move."
I froze. My breath hitched as he stalked closer towards me, so close I could feel the outline of solid muscle beneath his shirt. He growled lowly, wrapping a thick arm around my waist, his head lowering to the crook of my neck. I shivered as his warm breath hit my skin, sparking a jolt of electricity throughout my body.I gasped as his hot tongue flicked the column of my neck, his lips tracing over the trail of fire he had left on my skin. Now his hands were twirling around my hair and he was smelling me. I couldn't mirroring his actions. By now I should have made a move to stop him, but I couldn't, the feel of his lips against my skin, his body so close to mine - my mind was clouded and I felt weak amidst is touch."Mine." He whispered huskily, burying his nose into the nape of my neck and inhaling. I shrieked as I was suddenly spun ar
Jax said we were going to his pack, the closer we got to the destination the more I wanted to shatter the window and jump out."So you're telling me, my father just gave me up, toyou?" I asked, utter disbelief lacing my tone.He looked at me with clenched fists, now obviously irritated by my persistence. "For thefifthtime, yes he did. He didn't tell me why, he didn't say anything. He simply gave me permission to take you with me."Bullshit.My father wouldn't just give me up without at least talking to me at first. Jax must have done something, most likely threatened the safety of my pack. If he thought his threats would get me to feel anything other than hatred towards him, he was sorely m
Seer"Should I intervene?""Not yet, she's still adjusting, keep in mind her young age. We can't bring this upon her yet.""But she's resisting, her family's tainted legacy won't allow her to succumb to the mate bond and give birth to the Fated.""Be patient Anastasia, we have been doing this for over two thousand years, a chosen has never failed to conceive the fated. Don't ever doubt me." The room began to shake, portraying the moon goddess' anger."Of course not, my goddess." I bowed. My heart began to pound alarmingly, the Mood Goddess was the only one who could bring out the fear I always kept hidden, without her powerful presence, I would never have been famili
I refilled the glass with my second serving of whisky, the dream had come back again. Matthew's face, his words - warning me to stay away.Since I had found my mate, Matthew hasn't left my side, he has been in my head and in my dreams, constantly reminding me of the doom that awaits if I am to give in to the mate bond."I don't think Alpha Jax will be too happy to see you drinking Luna, especially this early in the morning." A voice chided, grabbing the glass from my hand and emptying it into the sink.It was Derek's mate, it might be my warped perception but her belly appeared to be three times bigger than the last time I saw her."Twins" She stated, as if reading my mind running a protective hand over her belly.
I flinched at the sound of glass smashing.Jax was in that room, his roars of anger echoed throughout the pack house.I sipped on my glass of wine, trying to block out his loud rants.I knew I should have been in there with him. My presence was thought to be a calming mechanism for him. The pull of a mate was definitely a life line, drawing two people and binding them together whether they liked it or not. However it was just that, a line and I would surely find a way to cut it soon.I couldn't stand it, this pack was unfamiliar and an involuntary choice. As much as they tried to make me feel welcome, some things you can't force.I watched passively as Jax stormed out of his office, the stress clear on his face. He was alone in that room and still managed to reach the peek of his temper. Alpha males were a complex equation I'd never be able to decipher.I looked on until he was out of sight, my arms stretched along the sofa casually.
I turned my face away from the sickening sight, bile rose to tip of my throat and I felt an overwhelming wave of nausea."All children must remain in their rooms, not one of them leaves until I say so." Jax ordered, all the mothers nodded vigorously before returning to their children."You too Felicity. Go to the room and stay there till I return."I shook my head. "Let me stay, I want to help."We had just been discussing the imminent danger to our pack and now it lays here right in front of us. Since last week, contact between us has been minimal, but in this moment my Luna just wanted to be by his side at all times, especially now I knew his internal fears and worries. He held my chin up with the crook of his finger. "No, it's too dangerous, I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you. Now go, please, I don't want to argue about this with you." I hated how no matter how much I voiced my position to him, he would always act like a
"But how?" I questioned, pacing around her room, baffled. It was not possible, but still it existed before me, in the palm of Maria's hand. "We used to go there about once a month, but since they tightened security in their territory we haven't been able to get close. Richard eventually became impatient and decided to go in by himself." She muttered the last bit sadly, partly angry that her mate had decided to go alone without her knowledge. "I've heard stories, but I'm not really sure how it's made, the last one was thought to have been used thirty years ago." I stared at the crimson mixture, transfixed by the power a single bottle held. These mixtures were created in order to kill vampires, working from the inside it seeps through the skull and fries the brain. The last one was thought to have been used to kill the Vampire King's son in 1987, the closest a werewolf has come to regaining dominion since a millennium. Since then no werewolf has been able to co
SeerI looked frantically at the cards before me. I was gifted with the power of sight but I was not always accurate."This is very alarming. She has accepted the role of Luna with such formality and conviction. I have never seen anything like it. How could she possibility separate herself from her emotions like that, not even her wolf is powerful enough to sway her.""She is a wounded and traumatised girl, give her time." The Moon Goddess calmly responded."But her heart is so guarded, so damaged and still she has desires of returning to her old life." My eyes flashed and I took a little stumble rubbing my aching temple as I projected myself into the subconsciousness of Felicity.
Being Luna while the Alpha was away came with so many responsibilities. I had to attend all the meetings concerning the upcoming war with the vampires and trust me, there was a lot. It's been exactly a week since Jax left and he still isn't back. I don't understand how an Alpha can just pack his bags and leave his pack unattended. He knows that the vampires have been targeting us, however he still chooses to leave. Alpha of the year everybody!Training with Derek has intensified, its now been bumped to twice a day for two hours instead of one. Even though Jax isn't here, he still thinks he can send Derek little messages telling me what I can and cannot do.I've improved a lot, I now spend more time on my feet than on my back. Derek has noticed to, as he no longer spends his time constantly on his feet. On frequent occasions, I've been able to knock him down.We were about to start our last spar of the day. I watched Derek get up - after I had tackled him
Alejandro's POVI entered the cell, a glass of water in my hands. Approaching the sleeping witch, I kicked his side in order to wake him up.He woke up with a jolt, opening his eyes wide as he scanned the dimly lit room in alarm. "What did you see?" I asked, placing the glass on the other side of the room. My voice cut through the silence and he immediately peered up in my direction.A glint of amusement shone in his eyes and the look of panic vanished just as quickly as it appeared. "When I'm speaking to someone, I find it common etiquette to maintain eye contact as we talk; it brings a sense of mutual respect to the conversation, so if you could turn on the light I'd be extremely grateful." The witch always spoke with a tint of humour in his voice. He was a spiteful old man who enjoyed watching me boil in anger, if only he wasn't the key to gaining leverage over the werewolves, I would've disposed of him a long time ago.Without a word, I switched on th
I'm Jaxon, Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, the strongest and most dominant pack in the world. Yet I can't seem to display such qualities to my own pack. I haven't been focused lately and the steadfast mindset I once had is now wavering. All because of one girl, my mate, Felicity Stone. Since I could remember, my parents have taught me the importance of a mate, the unbreakable bond created between two single souls. I always envisioned the mate bond as the most beautiful and precious thing the moon goddess could give two people and the thought of breaking such a gift was unthinkable. But Felicity's words, they bothered me more than I thought they would, to the point that it even effected my responsibilities as an Alpha. I waited a few days, exercised and worked twice as much, hoping to rid her soft voice from my ear to no avail. Felicity was right, I was with someone before I met her and I mercilessly ended it because I thought that was how it was supposed to be once you've found
I hadn't heard from Matthew since the other night and frankly it didn't ease my worries. The burden of carrying such a secret still weighed heavily upon me and I was constantly on edge, waiting for the next attack. I had been trying to convince myself that keeping this secret was for our future, giving up Maria's identity would only allow the Vampires to launch a mass attack on our pack in order to destroy the poison.Maria had been MIA since she revealed all she and her husband had done. Not sure if she was doing alright, I decided to pay her a visit, curiosity getting the better of me.Knocking on the door I jumped when someone immediately shouted. "Go away!" I thought about leaving, but I needed to know how she was doing, so I knocked again.I heard heavy footsteps approaching and stepped back, unsure whether the person would swing at me once the door was open."What part of-" A short woman opened the door, her small frame glared at me and I fel

"I'm so happy to see you!" I laughed as Michelle jumped onto me, embracing me in a tight hug."Me too I've missed you so much Mich" I smiled at my childhood bestfriend only now realising how much I missed her."Come, sit, tell me everything, how come you're back?" She gestured me towards her bed and we sat down. I proceeded to tell her everything right down to the curse and the Vampire poison.Michelle believed in the legacy, but not so much the curse. She agreed our family legacy was filled with mate tragedies, but viewed it as just that, tragedies."I can't believe the dreams have started again" She rubbed my arm soothingly, probably remembering everytime she had to rock me back to sleep and cool my body with a damp towel when I had
Flashback They locked me the loft, it was only me in the room, a small patch of glass allowed me to see what was going on outside. Everyone was fighting; I couldn't tell who was who since they were all in werewolf form. My wolf side had yet to fully develop, it made me vulnerable as I was unable to fight nor could I communicate with other members of my pack. I couldn't smell much other than the build up of dust that accumulated in the small room causing my nose to wrinkle, I sneezed. I had climbed on to one of the chairs so I could see what was going on. I bit the inside of my cheek as I concentrated on balancing on my tippy toes and peering through the small box window in the corner of the room. I wish I hadn't. Nothing but death stared me in the face, people were gnashing their teeth at one another, clamping their huge jaws into each other's throats. I could hear a mixture of whimpers and growls, it was chaos and I couldn't understand what
I opened one throbbing eye to find Derek staring down at me, his hands motioning for me to get up.I shook my head, my chest rising and falling rapidly as I stared up at the ceiling, my back flat on the floor. It had been my second spar with Derek and each result was the same - with me sweating like a pig, sprawled out on the ground."Come on Luna, Alpha Jax said we don't stop until you get it right." I remained still. I never realised how much comfort the cold hard ground could bring me."The longer you take to get up, the longer we spend here." He said nonchalantly, kneeling down and staring at my goofy position. I was both mentally and physically drained.Fisting my hands I placed them on the ground and pushed myself up. "You want a fight tough guy, you've got one." I put two fists in front me and shook a stray lock of hair from my face.Derek smirked, opening his arms wide as a signal for me to come get him. Letting out a war cry, I char
Alejandro's POVA gaping hole stared at the faces of my subjects. My canines elongated and I knew my eyes had turned a molten black."How could you? How could you let them get so close?" I erupted, slamming my palms on the table as I stood up."Your majesty, you know how the youngsters are, as soon as they get a grip on their abilities, it's hard to keep track." One of the men spoke, his head bowed low as he spoke.I glared at the man, watching his quivering form while I shook with anger. "Well you see what that has caused, you see the shit we're in now?" I bellowed, uncaring that my voice could be heard by the rest of the castle."But your majesty-" before he could
