Azeasthrath.
The last Slenderman fell to the ground, lifeless, as it’s body withered away. Azea sighed as she stretched and looked up. Willow had been gone for a while now, and they were all done. What was taking him so long? She looked to her left, seeing Quinn the other guy ,moving past the Slendermen in a green blur. He held some sort of plasma blade in his hand and had just slashed through the last one. In an instant, he was beside her, wind rushing into her face.
“What’s taking him so long?”, he said, putting the hilt of the blade away. “I can sense him up there, he’s fine.” Quinn put his hands at the back of head and exhaled. “That’s good to know.” He paused, as if remembering something. “Oh right, my name is Quinn.” He stretched out his hand in greeting. “Nice meeting you.”
She took his hand, unwillingly noting how smooth his hands were. “Azeasthrath, l
Quinn.Three months later. The open sea gave way to cold, frigid wasteland and Quinn whizzed past. The change in temperature hit him like a truck. “Ugh, I hate the cold.” He said tapping his suit. “Switch suit to life support, Zephyr–1.” Man, did it feel good to have an on-board AI that managed his nanotech suit. Orion’s work was top notch, as was everything else he had made. Antarctica was cold, very cold. If not for the suit, he would’ve been a popsicle already. “Quit whining and run, idiot.” Míriel's voice rang in his head. “Two minutes to the north pole shouldn’t be any problem for you.”“Stop bullying him, Míriel.”, Azea joined in. She was the one controlling the mental link between all of them, and she did it with ease, over such a long distance. In just three months, she was already on par with him and Willow. “At least, someone’s on my side.” He said laughing, and sped up. The reason why he was in Antarctica was just ahead. A massive t
Willow.“The leaders of countries across the globe convene at Geneva, Switzerland at the request of the president of the United States. President Reynolds declared a global state of emergency after the bizarre phenomenon of the barrier appearing over the earth, and the sudden appearance of the planet Jupiter, now out of orbit, and moving closer to the earth. Experts are estimating the time of impact to be three weeks at maximum.”Willow turned off the television and dug into the bag of chips. Empty, great. The boredom was getting worse, Míriel had gone out to do some recon with Azea, and Orion and the others were yet to come back from their meeting. They had gone to Geneva to answer all the questions. They all had more experience than him on fighting these things, so he would be basically dead weight. He was already regretting his decision to stay behind, as the hope of having alone time with Azea went out the window. “I have to be watching Jupiter, in case anyth
Azeasthrath. The portal opened over the skies of Geneva. Azea looked in shock as hundreds Slendermen attacked the building. Soldiers held the line firing endlessly at the hordes, but it was to no effect. The Slendermen couldn’t enter though, due to the barrier that covered the building. Míriel dive-bombed the cluster of Slendermen, causing them to erupt in green flames. The Slendermen had noticed them now and started making their way towards them, when Willow charged at them plunging his hand through the chest of one of them. Immediately absorbing it, he transformed into his paladin form and swung a wide arc with his spear. The rest were cut in half. The other group coming towards Azea finally caught her attention. Her daggers reformed and she rushed at them, slicing through them easily. The training with Míriel had started showing. She threw her dagger into the chest of one and channelled electricity through its chest. Soon enough, the tr
Quinn.“This is an extremely bad idea. No back up, and no way out.”, Quinn scratched his head. He was in Tony’s personal subspace, inside his body with Orion. Tony warped them inside, leaving body doubles simultaneously. “Well, it’s part of his plan, we just have to find a way to get out of here and release him.” Orion said, tapping his watch. A black skin covered him up to his neck, and a whirring sound came from the suit and Zephyr-1 activated. “Initiating life support mode.”, it said as a helmet covered his face. “You should do yours too, you don’t know how Jupiter will be like.” Quinn followed suit and soon they heard the roar of a storm. They were here. They looked around as they exited the portal. They were headed straight for the red spot, where a storm the size of a planet raged. They went past that, deeper into the planet, to find that it was a facade. There was a whole other planet inside the gas giant, protected by a magic circle. The planet was abo
Willow.Three days after the sudden disappearance of the planet Jupiter, NASA picked up a massive stream of data from their satellites. Gravity waves, from the edge of the solar system. There was a sudden burst, then nothing. Gravity waves were one of the rarest phenomena in the universe, at least by human standards. And there was activity everywhere. They were formed by either the collision of two black holes...or the aftereffects of a wormhole. There were no black holes in the recent vicinity, so, the latter was the only option. From their calculations, there object that came in was massive. It could easily dwarf Jupiter, and it kept giving off strange radio and electromagnetic waves. NASA cane to Orion with their data, and naturally, he was ahead of them already.“After comparing my data with them, I can safely conclude that the Faerie dimension is here.” Orion said, bringing up the model of our solar system. A globe was just beyond Pluto, slowly followi
Azeasthrath.Four figures. Dark as night, hidden well in the background, but she sensed them nonetheless. Slendermen. Modified ones. They had been watching her since she entered the school. She went out to buy some bananas, since the ones in school looked like they had just gone through a beat down. She didn’t find any good ones outside either, and was returning to school when she sensed them. She veered off the road leading into the school, and took a lonely path, where no-one was. She teleported away to the hill where Tony and Míriel brought her the first time, but she wasn’t here for the scenery.“If you don’t come out, I’ll just drag you out by your bald face.” She stretched, and dropped her bag. “I’d hate to end this without a fight.” She was being cocky, without knowing their level, but she was also tired of being held back by fear. She was going to face her fears right then and there. The first one teleported behind her, kicking her into the air. Strong, but no
Quinn.“Plasma blades: Singular Thrust!”Quinn smashed into the barrier for the tenth time. He stood up, gasping for air as the toll of using the attack too many times was kicking in. He gripped the hilt of his blade as he sat down on the dome. The news came when he was at the conference, and before Orion could stop him, he was halfway across the continent.“I see you’re busy.”, Orion said over comms. He jumped up, onto the dome, wearing his protective suit. “I was going to bust in and...” Quinn stopped. “Never mind.”, He said after a while. “Its impossible to break.” Orion knelt and touched the hardened grey material. “Nothing’s impossible.”, he said, feeling the material with his bare hand. “Tony could take this in one clean hit.”, he said, sitting down beside Quinn. “He has a reason why he’s not doing that.” Quinn was half listening. He thought of Azea. Something was wrong somewhere, they had never attacked like this before. And he had the feeling tha
Willow. He woke up with a start. His eyes couldn’t focus on anything no matter how much he tried. He sat up, scanning the area. From his limited vision, he saw that he was in some sort of cell. The cell was small, smaller than his room, and its walls were smooth. He could make out runes on the walls that glowed softly. He felt no strength, and came to the conclusion that the runes cancelled his powers somehow, and shut down his Vampiric side. That was why he couldn’t see well. He drifted in and out of consciousness slowly remembering all that had happened. Man, that Original had done a number on him. Then it hit him. Where was Azea?“Azea! Can you hear me?” his voice croaked as he held on to the bars of the cell. The memories were back, and he was fully alert, despite his senses being dulled. “Azea!” he banged the metal, hard causing the sound to echo down the hall. Then he heard something. A soft whisper. Azea’s voice. “I’m here, Willow!”, her voice carried through th
