Chapter 3: The offer.

Rachel's point of view:

“Dad, how can you say something like that? I remember my step sister got divorced from my husband after she cheated on him. You opened your house up to her so why are you doing this to me, your own daughter?” I asked my father as tears began to fall from my eyes at this point.

“I told you to leave from here before I call the police for trespassing. This house is not a place you can stay.” My Father informed me.

“Rachel didn't you hear what your father said ,he said you should leave ,we have no room for you to stay here we don't want you bringing bad luck to us.”My stepmom said.

“Stepmom, are you really going to stay ? If it was your daughter that was here now, would you tell her to go?” I asked my stepmom.

“Shut up your mouth, my daughter can never be your position.” She rebuked me.

My father had enough and called the police and I was forced to leave and rent a hotel room.

The thing that made me cry that night was that Simon my ex husband did not give me allowance when we are married, so even though I was doing housework he was not giving me any money and he was the one buying all the groceries himself, so I had no money to my name this left me in the pathetic state, because what I had in my account was less than $2,000.

What am I going to use that to do?

Where am I going to start from?

I lay in my hotel room bed and I was crying bitterly because I wasted so much time and energy on Simon, my ex husband instead of focusing on my own success.

I decided to go back to beg my ex husband to take me back or at least give me money for all I have done for him and his family.

I went to his office the next morning. I had thought my father would welcome me home happily. That was why I left but that didn't happen.

I heard murmurs when I got out of the cab and headed into the company building and I avoided turning to the voices.

"That's Mr Simon's wife, I heard they got divorced because she didn't give him a child ,such a shameless woman, she must have come to take money from him in the company." One employee said.

"She is childless as she can't even work, i can't believe in such an advanced world such laid-back woman still exist."The female employee said and i could only bow my head and hastily walked into the elevator but even there i wasn't spared from the remarks of my ex husband's employees.

"I can't believe she has the face to show up here even after getting divorced from her husband, I heard she cheated with her brother in law." An employee said in the elevator and I just sighed.

The elevator opened and I rushed towards Simon's office and luckily he opened his office door and saw me.

“What are you doing here?” He asked in anger.

“Simon please I am in need of money, let's talk in private.” I pleaded with him as his secretary and another employee was there.

“I told you to come back to beg me to forgive you ,but even though you have come back here I can't forgive you because you need to leave right now,”Simon told me in anger.

“My father has disowned me and refuses to let me go into his home, please just give me one more chance , I'll do anything you want I will even listen to you please,” I pleaded with him.

“No, call the security guards” Simon ordered his secretary who took her phone and called for the security immediately .

The security rushed to come to Simon's office and grabbed me while I was pleading and begging for my ex-husband to take me back and began dragging me out of the company building , when it was raining heavily outside.

The bodyguards didn't even care that I was once their boss's wife or care that it was raining heavily outside.

They just dragged me out when they got to the entrance of the company ,they tossed me outside into the rain and closed the door and everyone just stood inside the company building watching me through the transparent glass walls, as the rain hit me as I sat on the floor.

I was crying but my tears were being washed away by the rain.

I had no money and my hotel room would expire soon. I should have thought about this before accepting Simon's offer of divorce.

I was just blinded by emotions.

I was sitting in the rain crying when suddenly I saw two shoes stop in front of me and the rain stopped hitting me and I looked up and saw a man in a suit holding a black umbrella over my head blocking the rain.

The man was handsome and had an unwavering smile on his face, he was looking down at me.

The rain was getting lighter as it wasn't raining so heavily anymore so I could hear him clearly.

“Hello Miss Rachel or should I say scientist Rachel."He said and my eyes widened in horror.

How does he know that information is classified?

“Who are you?” I asked in alarm as he smacked his lips together.

“You seem to be in need of help,come with me I can provide you with housing, money ,food and clothing,”The strange man offered.

“You must want something in return ,what do you want?”I asked in alarm.

“The pill, I want you to complete what you started, just finished the job.”He replied and I felt the air leave my lungs as I found it hard to breathe.

“Breath Rachel I don't want you dying on me before you complete the pill,” he told her and she snapped out of her thoughts and took in a deep breath.

I didn't want to do it because many died creating the pill he was talking about and it is dangerous.
