The next morning, I was awoken by the sound of a ringtone. It wasn't my cell phone but Dave's that was ringing.

I didn't move then I heard Dave getting up to answer the phone.

As soon as he picked up the call, Lita's voice came from the other end of the phone.

Because the room was very quiet. I clearly heard her anxious voice, "Why did you let her out without telling me? What if she hurts me and our baby in the future again?"

"She won't."

After saying that, Dave hung up the phone.

I wondered what he meant by that.

Half an hour later, I pretended to get up, only to realize that my clothes had been changed into pajamas.

When I went downstairs, I saw that the servants had already prepared breakfast.
