Chapter 5

I suddenly find myself in the woods. It's dark and I can barely see anything. I feel someone touching my shoulder. I turn around and see him.

" Hello my little devil."

I immediately start running and screaming. I know what he'd do to me if he finds me . I'd have no chance in hell.

" Somebody please help me!"I start yelling. I fall to the ground and he grabs.

"No!Let me go!"

I wake up crying in a hospital bed. Enrique is sitting beside me holding me hand.

" It's okay." He says and starts stroking my hair.

I finally calm down and I feel like I can actually breathe again.

" Don't ever scare me like that ." He says

I smile. " I know, I'm sorry."

"As long as you're okay."

" I had a bad dream about my worst fear."

"What's that?" He asks

" I'm afraid that he's gonna hurt me again. I'm afraid that they're gonna hurt me again. I can't stand to go through that again. It was horrible I couldn't sleep or eat for months . I couldn't bare being touched by anyone not even my mother."

" You're safe." He says pulling me into his arms " You're safe with me princess."

I start crying and I have now idea why because for the first time in years I feel like I can breathe, I feel stronger. He's the only one that ever made me feel like this. I still can't doing anything . I can't allow myself to be dependent on him again. I have to become my own strong person by myself.

" I know you need time. I know you're not ready for me yet. You need to overcome this. You need to look him in the eyes and not be afraid. You feel like that's the only way you'll ever be fully confident and strong. That's what you'll do and I will be right there with you."

I look up at him in complete shock.

" How did you know?"

" I know you more than you know yorself." He says

"Do you really think we'll be able to handle him?"

He scoffs. " We've handled him before. He practically ran away.I know we can do this Princess."

"Will I always be your princess?"

" Until you want to be a queen."

" Not just yet." I say as curl up in his arms.

After a few hours of check ups I finally get sent home.

I go straight up to my room to just relax and read a book.

I feel calm and at ease. I decide to call Liv.

" Hey Cher."

" Hey I just think I should warn you that he's back."

"I know. Don't worry we'll take him down together. We always stick together even if we don't see each other for years you'll always be my best friend and we'll always protect each other."

" I know I love you girl."

" I love you too."

I suddenly hear a thud outside my window. I peek out through the window but I don't see anything. I get back onto my bed and I hear it again.

" Hey Liv I'll call you later."

" Sure." She says and we hang up

I hear footsteps behind me and turn around to see my mom approaching me.

" Are you okay honey? What are you looking at?"

I smile softly " Nothing I thought I heard something."

" You must be terrified right now sweety."

" I am but I'll push through this. I have escaped him before, I'm sure I'll do it again."

I say that to her but I don't actually feel that way I'm terrified of him. What he did to me. If he's not the actual devil he's worse.

" I'm fine mom." I reassure her once again.

" We'll always protect you." She says

" I need to protect myself this time. That's what'll make me strong enough to handle a relationship with Enrique."

"He's right there with you." She says and walks out.

My phone goes off again and I nearly fall from being so terrified.

I immediately stop breathing when I read the message.

" Hello my little devil. You can't be scared of your one true love. I'm already so happy to see you again. I have a really big surprise for you just wait and see."

After the message a picture appears of me and Enrique kissing in his office. I start breathing heavily and I can't breath normally. How did he see that ?

I hear the same loud thud again and when I loom out my window it's too dark to see . I turn around and walk to the door because I need some water. I hear my bedroom window open behind me and I stop in my tracks. I turn around and it's him, it's exactly who I thought it would be. Before I can say anything or scream he grabs me and covers my mouth.

" Hello my little devil. Did you really think you can run from me. I'll always find you."

I try to get out of his grip or at least get his hanf off my mouth but it's no use. My body starts to weaken as it all comes rushing back again, the pain and the abuse I had to endure all because he can't leave me or my family alone.

" You're mine and I'll kill anyone who tries to take you away my little devil. If you don't want me I'll have to lock you up until you do."

I find a way to hit him in the stomach with my elbow and I break myself out of his grip. He grabs me once again and I actually feel like it's the end. Then I hear footsteps approaching us and the next moment he's gone. I look to the window and it's still open.

My dad walks in ." What's wrong ? Are you  okay?"

I try to get the words out but I can't I immediately just start crying.
