Chapter 34 Rumor

Steven ran past Emma and entered another room. The healer lay dead in a pool of blood and the bed was cold and empty.

No shadow of Kieth could be found in the room. Emma was right. The rogues really took away Kieth.

Steven didn’t even know how to react. He made sure that Amelia and the cub were well protected but forgot about Kieth. But he shouldn’t be blamed. Why would anybody want to take a weak, harmless human away?

Steven, though confused, knew what to do next. He quickly dispatched a team to trace the trail of the missing human. And then he went to interrogate the captured rogues.

Liam followed behind quietly. He too, wanted to know why anybody would want a human.
