I was still shocked that he agreed to it even as he dished out his warnings with a stern voice and a face that said if I tried to dare him, that'll be the end of me.

I nodded and when he suggested we make dinner together, I nodded and climbed down the bed. Since he was nice enough to fulfill my request, I figured I might as well return the kindness.

“We should just order pizza,” we were out of groceries- how did he not know that? He's been cooking nonstop for three days. “What did you eat for lunch?”

“I was working on my project and the document Victor sent,” he snapped his head over to where I was seated on the stool. “ I didn't feel hungry.”

“That's not an excuse to starve yourself,” he shut the fridge and picked up his phone to call the pizza house. “Keep up with this behavior and I'll be forced to get you a nanny.”

I narrowed my eyes, “Sure.”

“I mean it, Rebecca. You don't eat enough, you work all day, do you even sleep?”
