65. Permissions

OLIVER

It was quiet when I got home. The silence had been blasting on full volumes for days now. No more arguments and yelling, just silence like no one lived here.

“She made no attempt to leave the house,” the bodyguard reported as soon as I got home.

I already figured she wouldn't attempt anything. She was mad at me and was ready to act stiff and mute till my conscience shrivelled and probably killed me from inside out.

I put my things away, wondering how to get her outside her room this time. It wasn't time for dinner but we could spend time discussing what we wanted to eat. Maybe take outs or we could eat together. I was suddenly craving going on a date with her but I knew that was out of the options so I wasn't even going to suggest that.

It may earn me a glare– that was a reaction at least. At this point,I would pick her yelling at me over this quiet attitude. Her silence was filling my mind apart.
