The ride back home was thick and heavy with silence as I stole glances at Oliver who was pinching the bridge of his nose, vein popping at the side of his head as he clenched his jaw and had his eyes closed.

His knuckles were red and bruised hard enough from all the punch and I was still terrified from the beast he had turned into back there.

It happened so fast. He was smashing the guy's head on the hard floor with menacing eyes that said he wanted to end his life there and then.

People gathered and had their phones out, recording as he displayed a side of him I had never seen but had always feared.

He grabbed the terrified man by his collar after dropping the camera that hung around his neck. He stepped on it, destroying it and stomped over it again and again.

"Don't you ever put your hands on her ever again."

My heart was yet to remain still from the scene stuck in my head. He was overreacting because of me?
