Piper was relieved to see her parents and not Madison, as she had feared.

Now she was certain that somebody would fight for her against the injustice she was facing in prison, except that she forgot one small detail.

Her parents were no longer in the position they used to be in before.

Breaking down, all she wanted to do was melt into their arms, but unlike the time she sat face to face with Madison, she was separated from her parents by a glass.

She could not touch them, and even their voices could only be heard from the intercom.

Both her parents broke down at the sight of her, and her mother was the first to speak.

“Piper, how did this happen? We were kidnapped and thought you were coming for us, but all we heard after being released was the news of you being here. Why did you attack the officer?” her father chastised.

It was very hard for him when he realized the depth of his daughter’s crimes.

Not even the best lawyers would be able to defend her because of all the evidence again
