The sound of keys clattering was particularly loud in the still night. Subsequently, the door opened. There were two individuals in the shadows.

"Assistant Radomil?" Gazing about the dimly lit room, Joseph pulled out his phone and activated the flashlight. The room came to life for a brief period.

Clarence then noticed a tiny figure hunching over in the corner, her head buried and her hands gripping her knees. She resembled a coiled cat. Her hair fell from the hair band and tangled, obscuring her face and ears as it hung unkemptly over both shoulders.

Clarence was touched, for some reason, by the hopelessness and iciness that radiated from her.

What was happening?

Clarence sounded displeased and scowled. "What's wrong with her?"

After hearing the question, Joseph finally moved forward and asked, "Assistant Radomil?"

She just sat there, not moving or responding.
