Maxwell was angry. No, scratch that. He was furious. He wanted to go after Levi and confront him, but I stopped him. I don’t want to make any commotions during our school trip, and I want to forget about it.

I tried to sleep after Maxwell left Alyssa and me in our room, but the encounter earlier kept replaying in my head. The tears fell to my cheeks as I felt the pain when I saw Levi and Vanessa together.
