The maid looked up and realized Charlotte was not listening at all. Instead, she was looking around as if she was searching for a certain figure.

The maid shook her head awkwardly before turning around and heading toward the kitchen.

“Is Zachary back yet?” Charlotte’s clear voice suddenly erupted, and it was only then the maid realized the person Charlotte was searching for was Zachary.

“Erm, Mr. Connor has not returned yet. He’s been out with Luke since this morning. Mr. Connor is very busy, and it’s common for him to come home late. If you’re looking for Mr. Connor, you can just make a call to him.”

Zachary usually worked very late. In the past, she would not feel anything when she didn’t see him by the time she came home at night.
