“Guesswork?” Zachary furrowed his dark, inky, shapely brows enigmatically. “I never base my conclusion on simple guesswork.”

Charlotte raised her pretty brows. “But… If it wasn’t a guess…”

“You told me yourself.” Zachary curved the corners of his lips intriguingly. “You really should have a good look in the mirror. Every time you think about Bryson, your eyes look different than usual.”

‘Heavens! Have my eyes betrayed me? Wait!’

“But I cut ties with Bryson long ago. How could my eyes possibly look different whenever I think of him?” Charlotte asked, looking aggrieved.

“Oh, really?” Zachary’s gaze looked cold with a hint of jealousy. “Then why does your gaze seem warmer every time y
