First Meeting

Matthew has always dreamed of changing the genre of his life. From thriller-mafia to a passionate romance with a beautiful, spoiled, sexy, and cutie female lead at the same time. This is something that many people don't know as many people think Matthew has a vicious nature like his boss whose daily life is filled with blood and conspiracies. That's not true though. Matthew still has empathy as a human. Unlike Liam Shax, his boss. They are like a leopard and a dog.

And Matthew really didn't think that his boss's genre of life would turn to romance before him! If previously he lived like a demon boss, now he is changing the role of a prince on a white horse.

Matthew bites his black handkerchief in annoyance as he watches his boss, Liam Shax, plunge into the river from a height of 70 feet to save a bride in her white gown!

Matthew knew very well that Liam Shax was a human born near perfection, except for his ferocity. And that morning, Liam's list of perfections grew by becoming a hero!

"SIR?!"

Liam swims towards the woman whose body was plunge further and deep as if being pulled by some foreign force. It's hard to get close to her. Liam continued to pierce his path even though his vision was blurry due to the murky river water.

At times like this, he became more and more like a beast who relied on his instincts to survive in the wild. Sharpen all five senses. Swim against strong currents with an athletic body – which he built in controlled environmental conditions.

Even though he once took first place in the voting list of 'CEOs predicted to survive in the wild', by a suburban magazine, he did not expect to actually swim in the Collux river – the largest river in Merrsilver City. Especially to save a woman, a stranger—no less!

Liam was never the type to care, but he was already in.

After struggling for a while through the current, his hand grabbed her arm. With all his might he pulled her into his arms. Then immediately, blows the air remaining in his mouth into the woman's mouth.

The woman blinked in confusion. She revolts briefly before her weak body fell further into Liam's arms. Her facial expression seemed to be shouting 'Don't get in the way of my death!' but the man ignored her.

Liam pulled her up to the surface. "Puha!"

And being the perfect secretary he is, Matthew shows up with some city guards on a boat. Splitting the swift current of the river and rushing to pull the two humans who miraculously escaped death

"SIR?! sir? Are you okay? Not even a beast can survive this strong current, but you can even save a human!” Matthew shouted loud enough for those around him to hear.

This is a rare chance to give his boss the image of a kind human being. This is a golden opportunity!

Liam scoffed cynically. It was a dangerous rescue mission. Even he himself did not understand what possessed him until he was desperate to free fall into the river. Even though he was often in dangerous situations in his life thanks to his enemies, he never felt fear. Not once, not even when a gun points at him.

Everything had gone awry since he had met this woman last night. The woman is now on his lap and they blanketed together. Splitting the river water at the highest speed to reach land faster.

Liam glued his arms together because the boat was so bumpy. He saw the woman's face. 'I wonder, how can her body fit right into mine?'

The woman's lips were pale purple. Now and then, he blew air into her mouth. Warming the woman's lips with his is not difficult. Matthew witnessed such sight with an annoying look, whilst the two city guards with crumple faces.

The dark circles under her eyes became more visible. Her cheekbones were protruding and her jaw was sharp. She is like being left starving for a long time. His eyesight was not wrong last night, the woman's body was too thin. 'Isn't the late trend of women lately to prefer a plump body, both chest, and buttocks? She's all bones.'

Chelsea's body slumped limply with a breath that was so slow.

“Matthew, I presume you have done your homework, right?”

"Of course, sir. I'll give it to you when you get to the hospital for a checkup. I don't want to say this, sir, but how can you jump into a river with such strong currents! It's so dangerous-"

"Shut it. You said you didn't want to say anything, so keep quiet for the rest of the trip!”

Matthew covers his mouth, “But sir, is it true… that this woman has raped you?”

It was a stupid question that had the geeky-looking bespectacled man working overtime for a week!

"Didn't I have an appointment with Mr. Shang in Clower? You already booked my ticket, didn't you?"

"Of course I have. But with your current state, it seems-”

"I'm okay. Arriving at the mainland, take this woman to the hospital. And you stay with her. I'm going to a meeting with Mr. Shang with the other secretaries.”

"But sir,"

“Make sure this woman doesn't go anywhere until I get back. If she leaves, you know what your punishment will be, huh?"

"Should I tie her up?"

He gives a dead glare. It had been a long time since his first year working under Liam Shax that Matthew had gotten that look. He swallowed his bitter saliva. "I… I shouldn't tie her up, right?"

"Yeah, you sound inhumane,"

'That's you! You're the one who taught me to tie up any woman who comes near!' Matthew smiles awkwardly. It's not fair for him for staying up all night doing Liam's homework(?). Moreover, yesterday he also had to deal with a woman who was slapped with a steak by his boss.

“Make sure this woman gets the treatment she deserves,” Liam tightened his grip on the woman who wasn't even wincing in pain as her body was nearly crushed by his beast-like strength.

“Matthew, prepare a contract. Regarding the contents, I will send it via email later, "

“Contract, sir? What kind of contract?”

Liam glared at him, Matthew whine weakly. "Yes, I understand,"

Matthew glanced at the unconscious woman on his boss's lap. He guesses who is this foreign woman who is not that beautiful and sexy, but makes Liam Shax jump into the river. Also, the one that kept Liam Shax up all night until he showered him with homework!

‘What do you think happened between these two?’ Matthew ponders for so long since he saw his boss jump to the river.

No matter how he thinks about it, there's no reason for his boss, Liam Shax, to let her live. So he has made a total of 2 hypotheses. The first hypothesis is, this woman made a very fatal mistake that deserves to be tortured first before being left to die. Or secondly, because it was his boss who wronged this woman and wanted to silence her so that no one in the world would know what Liam Shax's 'fault' was.

'Did she witnessed Mr. Liam kill a person? Impossible. He is the type of person who is careful, he will not allow any gaps in his actions. Wait, this woman was muttering the word rape from earlier. There's no way she's the one who raped this beast. Is it the other way around…?' Matthew was flabbergasted.

'Impossible! Is it true Mr. Liam whose junior couldn't wake up had raped a woman? Really, a woman? Is this good news, or bad news for Lady Maureen?'

Matthew seemed lost in his thoughts. He had 'imagining' prepare whatever legal documents were needed to keep his boss from being thrown into prison. This man should not be put in prison because there are still many people whose lives depend on his brilliant decisions for the success of the company.

At that time, he did not predict the existence of a third possibility.
