Andrew kept complaining about being bored at home and asked me to take off too. I was already doing it because of Michael but still just to tease him I said no.
"Come on, I'm the boss and I'm asking you to not go." Was he seriously whining?
"But I have-""I'm calling to Emma myself and telling her that you're not coming." He was about to take his phone but I remembered something, I haven't deleted his father's call from recent records.
"I will do it myself!" He gave me a weird look but sat back and stared at my face making me uncomfortable.
"Umm, you should lay down." Nodding he did the same.
"Are you still mad?" I was about to walk out of the room but turned to look at him.Truthfully, I didn't know what to say, I did feel hurt that he was still believing Catherine more than me but strangely I wasn't angry.
Shrugging my shoulders in uncertainty I ambled out of his room.
*****
"How are you?" My husband's father asked.
"I'm good, what about you?" I gave him a polite smile.
"I'm great, what about my son, how is he feeling now?" He sounded worried. Seemed like Andrew didn't know much about his father because he said that his dad didn't care about his health or happiness but I didn't think it was true.
"How about you ask this himself?" Making him follow me, we both walked to the room where my spouse was laying on the bed.
Hearing our footsteps he looked up fastly just be shocked after seeing his father, standing up at the speed of lightning he said.
"Father, what are you doing here?"
"You should lay down." He yet again was shocked because of his dad's changed behavior, I could see that.
"How are you?" The old man looked around to see if there was anyone else in the room but when he didn't see anyone except the two of us, he smiled. Odd, that was what he was acting.
"I want to talk about something...." He signed me to take a seat and just when I was about to settle down on the chair Andrew held my hand and made me sit beside him.
"This is for both of you...." He handed an envelope to me.
"Both of your tickets to Paris." My eyes bulged out, Paris?
'Are you kidding me?'
Never thought I would be going to any place other than the park near my home ( by the home she meant where she lived with her family before coming to Andrew's house).
"But-"
"You both are going there for two weeks." His father continued not letting the male beside me say anything.
"I have a lot of work here." I have to say something, my husband's lie wasn't good enough.
"I'm sending both of you there for work, the first week will be gone in attending the meeting and doing other work. The second week will be for both of you to enjoy there." He smiled at both of us.
"But I told ya I don't wanna-" I started but the old guy glared at me causing me to halt to a stop.
"Let's take this outside, dear." He took me out of the room with him while I could feel Andrew's curious gaze following us until the door was closed.
"I told you it's a no..." I made a cross with my hand, "for going on honeymoon."
He laughed at my irritated expression and then patted my head. Why was he so opposite of what my spouse said about him.
"Didn't you say Catherine is being a problem between both of you?" He whispered to me to which I nodded.
"It's a good opportunity to know each other. I can't show him how much I care about him but you can. Make him smile and teach him how to live a happy life. You both will live together for all of your life." Wrong just for two years, but I stopped myself from saying it and just shook my head in yes.
"Very well, start packing for 'honeymoon' then." He especially empathized with that certain word.
Rolling my eyes I smiled and strolled with him to the main door.
"Bye." It seemed like I have to change Andrew's mind about his father, he appeared to be bad but he was the opposite of that.
Let's see if this trip would be good or bad for us, I have this feeling that something big would happen there.
"Why do I feel the old guy is planning something?" Andrew kept eating my mind about why we shouldn't go to Paris. "Just calm down, he is your father ain't an enemy." I put some pieces of apple in his mouth, so he could stop talking for a minute. "What if this is a plan of killing me?"Why did he have to think his dad was so bad? "Stop making assumptions, he doesn't hate you, if anything he cares about you so quit thinking absurd things." He narrowed his eyes while looking at me. "Are you with him now? Were you with him behind all this all along?" 'What does he think I'm? TSK, this man makes me angry.' "You took so long to understand this, idiot," I said sarcastically with an eye roll. "Think whatever you want to but I'm gonna give you advice sometimes things aren't what they look like, people you trust most can betray you. Sometimes strangers are better than the people you know but sometimes people you hate are the ones who
I didn't know it, dude this surprise was too much. Michael didn't give any tickets it was an empty envelope with a letter that Andrew read. Why there weren't any tickets? Because they have their plane no need of any ticket. The inside was luxurious and I never knew it but the plane had a room too and a fridge filled with food. Everyone knew what I would have done the whole ride when my husband thought it was okay to shut his non-stop mouth and concentrate on some work, yeah, I practically ate everything. Didn't know when but I fell asleep on my seat and woke up on a soft bed. With a smile, that was present on my face without any reason, I walked to the bathroom and cleaned my face. "Ah, you're up, that's good. We are about to land so better take our seat." Nodding I followed the male. ****** It was beautiful, the surrounding had left me awed. I was so into the scenery that I didn't pay attention to the male who was smiling at me.
"I see you're loving calling yourself my wife." He smirked on which I rolled my eyes. "Why would I like that?" "Because you like me and so it makes you feel good calling yourself my spouse." Before I could argue with him a waiter came asking for our order. But dude the thing that happened while ordering was awkward, more than the time when we walked into the elevator and encountered a couple who were having a make-out session. "What's the best drink you have?" "Sir there are many but people nowadays are liking sex on the beach." Coughing loudly with my eyes widened I looked at the young guy who was staring at us. "It's a drink ma'am." He continued fastly, clearly aware of where my thoughts were going. "I will have one glass of that and...." "Chocolate smoothie." I finished Andrew's sentence, who was smirking because of my reaction. *********** "But I don't wanna go." He complained.
Everything was happening too fast, the driver saying the brakes have failed and that he couldn't stop the car. I shouted at him to open the door and jump out. Opening Andrew's side door I tried to push him out just when the truck was centimeters away but the male even in sleep stuck with me. Causing not only him but also me to fall with him and then... Bang! I felt like my foot touched the truck as it crashed with the car, making it roll backward. Near my head was laying my husband, who was passed out and I could feel blood coming out of my forehead. My hands were in quite a bad position and before I could say anything black dots were taking place in my vision then slowly the dots became large replacing everything with black, as darkness overcame everything. ******** "When will she open her eyes?" I could hear the faint voices of people but was still unable to see anything. ******* "It has been three days, what are y'al
"Is it necessary?" I plopped myself on the couch, with the food surrounding me as my husband, who was fine now, was standing in front of me. "Of course, my so-called father wants me to go there and enjoy the night, but if you aren't in the mood I will take someone else." It was odd but I didn't like thinking of him with someone else, 'Stop feeling like this, you stupid. You both are acting like husband and wife for two years nothing more!' Mentally slapping myself I nodded at Andrew. "You should go with some other girl," For a second he looked sad but I think I just imagined it because the very next second his face went blank. "Okay then." Before, he could walk inside his room my words halted him. "But, you can't go there with anyone else other than me. Ah, so disappointing." The male turned to look at me with a raised brow. "Why would you think like that? Many girls would be-" "Rule no.150 says that we can't get too touchy or
My eyes widened as I found Andrew standing right in front of me. 'No, he can't see me like this. He will know I was crying.' Fastly turning my face to another side, thinking going back inside the washroom was better but when he dragged me out with him, 'What can I do? Nothing, just obey him.' "What happened to you?" Once we were at the corner where not many living beings were, he spoke up. "Huh, uh...nothing." Staring at my hands, I fidget with my fingers. "Look at me, Ally." "Don't call me that." Even though I was answering him, my eyes were still cast down and my hair helped in hiding my face from him. "You won't listen to me, will you." Sighing he put his fingers under my chin making me gaze at him. "You were crying, why?" The sternness and authority in his voice were making me want to obey him but I could not tell him. "Why does it even matter to you, huh? There weren't any rules about shar
I walked inside the office with a smile, after talking with Eva I was in a good mood. That was until, well, I saw a pile of work waiting for me. Putting my open hair in a bun I started working. **** Stretching my hands above my head I looked at the clock. In an hour Andrew had a meeting. "What are you doing, dear?" I looked up to see Michael staring down at me. "Huh, ah... Hi, why are you here?" Confused I gazed at the old man who was grinning, too big for my likeness. Why was he creeping me out today? Why could I feel he was gonna do something that I wouldn't like. "Can't I visit my son's company?" Smiling awkwardly, I saw everyone gazing at me curiously as to why their boss's father was chatting with me. "Oh, no. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." I said fastly, truthfully, I was a mess right now. I didn't even know what to say. "Please follow me to the room." He nodded as I stood up. The pen and a file
"No, I'm not doing anything like that." Glaring at Andrew who didn't seem to understand me or what I was trying to say. "But what's wrong with it? You can have a child and company. Maybe a small family of your own." I tried desperately to make him understand my words but he wouldn't even try. I was getting out of reasons or words by which I could make him agree with me. "I won't end the contract and that's the biggest problem ever, my wife." Should I bang my head, on the window of the car? Or smack his head. "And why?" "Because.....I don't want to and half of the amount is still with me." Was he trying to change my mind by saying this? "That's the thing, you don't have to give me more-" "I'm gonna give you double of it and there will be some changes in the contract as our marriage is going to be longer than two years." Wide-eyed and mouth apart I stared at the man in disbelief. Here I was saying to end the contract, find another
I unintentionally scowled while my mind went wild thinking about who this guy was, in a long black hoodie with his face covered and the baggy trousers were touching his black worn-out shoes. 'Is he a thief? Or is he a shabby-looking bodyguard of Andrew that's why the other two aren't paying much attention to him?' "What's with that face of yours? That man is no one you should pay attention to." Adrian said still not telling me who it was. Licking my lips I thought for a while, my eyes staring at the videos ahead of me before I signed. Maybe I should not think too much. Slumping back on the chair I stared around. Only three chairs were placed in this room, from which one was empty right now. The white walls were clean and empty... Just like my life, that was what came to my mind but I shook my head. I was happy now, but if this whole event didn't go well, then I didn't know what would happen. I roamed my eyes around to
"Are you all fine with this plan?" I asked nervously because now when it was the day to put that idea into action I was hesitating, what if this plan was not good enough? What if she was already preparing for this? What if she knew about our intention behind calling her here? Many and many questions arose in my mind as I sat to think about 'how this night will come to an end?' "Come on, be a little sure of yourself. Everything will be fine." Noah as always cheered me up as I nodded. Even when Andrew didn't like Adrian, he was part of our plan and so the four of us were discussing one last time how things should go. "But why do Alyssa have to go with that man." Even after all the videos and conclusion, that the other guy was not at fault my spouse still didn't seem to be okay with him. I would say the same about me cause the hatred I had for Adrian for so many years couldn't just go within some days. It would take time for me to be okay with him. "Because they both are needed for t
It looked unreal or something that was just said because for me it could never happen. Sometimes I wondered 'if that's true?' or 'could it occur in real life?' Because I did not believe in love or having someone you would want to spend your whole life with, without any thought of being bored with them; two people being together for their whole life was something I had lost my belief from. But then Andrew came, making me think all of my thoughts were wrong. He showed me how someone could love each other more than themselves when months ago they were just two strangers. He taught me that not everyone was the other's soul mate but every person did have a soulmate, he or she just hadn't found the right one that was why they were alone. When the right time would come the two people, who were right for each other, would meet. One of my old thoughts that changed now was that I thought no one could understand what other person was feeling, tone couldn't describe their emotion. But well
Blink, blink, blink. Rubbing my eyes I stared inside the Cafe, some people gave me a look as to why I was staring at the eatery like that but I ignored them. People do nothing other than make their wrong assumptions and think bad about others. Maybe my husband taught me one nice thing which was to not care about others' thoughts, they might never be able to understand you or your situation. "Wow, I can't believe I'm seeing this," I muttered but then a question formed in my mind. 'Won't that female will know about this? Someone might have already told her about my and Adrian's meet-up. And now these two.' But then there was one more thing, it didn't matter to her. All she wanted was to break down my husband and separate us. That wouldn't be happening but we could act like that. The bell on the door pinged as I entered inside and walked straight for ordering something first. After placing the order I turned back to see the two guys who I wanted to talk to were glancing at me. Ro
Confusing, frustrating, with no end or any idea of where to go. This was all I could say about the situation I was in. Staying away from my husband while having no work to relax me, yeah relax because now that I think by checking files and documents given by Andrew I would always be able to let myself forget about other problems, made my mind full of thoughts about Bonnie, Adrian and what was the truth? The cherry on the top, I had to move around with my face hidden behind a mask or hoodie, why? Cause just some days ago my shoulders were grazed by a bullet and later that day some men tried to kidnap me but thankfully I was able to run away. Didn't know who was behind this or why all this was happening but one thing was clear, which was to not walk around while showing my face. It was better to be like this, hidden in baggy clothes. Ding! The door opened and I exit the elevator, looking straight ahead of me I was opting for the main gate of the hotel when I heard a voice calling
The long hoodie, that reached my thighs, and the baggy trousers were something I was comfortable in. Walking out of the big building with my face covered and some curious glances following me, I sat in the cab. I was busy texting some people who were quite good at getting information that might be hidden and couldn't be ever found. Andrew had made me meet them when he wanted to get some information about one of his soon-to-business partners, whose name I didn't remember. This time I was asking for their help in getting to know about Bonnie. Wanted to get out of my problematic life for a while I came to a park where I felt at peace. The cool breeze and green trees were something that was helping my mind to relax. A sigh escaped my mouth as I closed my eyes, I couldn't sleep for the last two days knowing my husband would be worried about me. Today I switched on my mobile and had above fifty messages and one hundred and three missed calls all from one person, my spouse. "I'm so sorry,
Alyssa Pov (A day before Andrew came back) "Can't you stop huh!? Is it necessary for you to create a problem every day?" Some might think I have lost my mind while others would say I never had one, but I did and everyone has different ways of using it. Right now I couldn't think of anything else but to be here and face that male. "Wow, what a day! Alyssa has come to me without me asking for it. How come I'm blessed with your face today?" Inhaling slowly before exhaling I tried to calm myself. How could he joke and laugh like this? Well, maybe he could cause he never cared about others' feelings. "I'm serious here, what do you get from threatening and joking about things that are precious to others. You got a problem with me, with Andrew, okay, we will face you but why!? Why drag my friend and Michelle in this! He is your father too, for God's sake! Can't you just let him out of this hatred web in which you and my husband are?" I frowned as the male stared at me without a word.
Andrew pov I was happy, a big smile that was spread across my face wouldn't go away even when my cheeks were hurting because of smiling too much. But how couldn't I smile? I was gonna meet my wife, my love, without her one day felt like a month. She laughed yesterday when I was saying pick up lines here and there while talking to her but nothing I said was a joke. She did look hotter than any other day in her night suit. Stopping myself from skipping my way towards the plane, like a happy child who was on his way to the candy shop, I did a handshake from the guy who had helped me from yesterday till now before calmly walking ahead. Even when my inside was anything but calm. ***** Not going to the office for looking after some work that had to be done today, as work can wait, I went home. It was already evening the sky was a mixture of red and orange while the sun was nearly gone. A sigh left my lips as I kept my head on the seat of the car, I remembered how I wasn't even able to
When black clouds had ruled the sky and the small light that was showing the way was being taken away, anyone would be afraid to let that light disappear. A sensible person would be afraid to be lost without the light and the darkness wasn't a good thing to be lost in. But here I was worried about my light and what would happen with it? My husband who had always been the one saving me was going to some other city because of a business meeting and I was hella worried about him, his safety. The conversation I last had with Adrian was making me shitting bricks. "Is it necessary for you to go?" I questioned as he made me sit with him on the couch. "You see it's an important work that had to be done. And even when I don't want to leave you here I can't take you with me because you have to look after some work here. The stepbrother of mine won't let go of a chance like this to create a problem for my company and me." I sighed understanding him while keeping my head on his shoulder as he
