Franco's POV.

Just as I was trying to process what was happening, Ivery turned and walked away, disappearing into the crowd. I was left standing there, my mind reeling. I couldn't believe what had just happened.

I was confused and a bit shaken. I didn't know what to do next, so I just went back to my office and closed the door. I needed a moment to collect my thoughts and figure out what to do next.

For six years, I heard nothing from her. I had tried to find out what had happened, but I had come up empty. I had assumed she was gone, that she had moved on and forgotten all about me.

But here she was, standing right in front of me, looking as confused as I felt. I wanted to talk to her, to find out what had happened, but she had already disappeared. I felt a sense of frustration and longing, a feeling of being left hanging.

I couldn't help but wonder, was Ivery a staff member or were they just visiting someone?

I had no idea what to expect.I typed out a quick reply, “Sorry, I'm not available.” I hit send, feeling a rush of relief as the message was sent. I felt like I was stuck in a nightmare, unable to wake up.“Mom, you're sweating,” Caden said, looking at me in concern. I hadn't even realized that I was sweating until he said something. I brushed the hair out of my face, trying to calm myself down. “I'm fine, honey,” I said, forcing a smile.I gave Caden a hug and a kiss on the top of his head, then stood up. “I'll be back in a little while,” I said.
