Jo’s POV

I took a deep breath and instead of closing the door I just went straight inside.

Both Alex and the redhead, who was in his arms kissing the life out of him, got surprised of my boldness. I can see an amused sparkle in his eyes.

Alex was leaning towards his desk with his white shirt unbuttoned, while the curly redhead was in her black lace underwear while her clothes are scattered around the floor.

“ Get dressed and get out” I said with a stern voice to the redhead who was looking at me annoyed.

“I said GET DRESSED AND GET OUT “ I barked at her. She looked at Alex, who nodded his head, approving my command. A smile appeared for a second on his face while the woman grabbed her clothes and started dressing.

Jo’s POV “What’s going to be?” He whispered softly in my ear, playing with my zipper. I can feel he is restless, he is holding himself back not to take off my dress. “ So…if I stay I’ll be your second choice…If I go I’ll be nothing” my words come out surprising us both. I guess next time he better stay quiet. “Nothing …just like I was before I got here” I continued this time looking at him. For a moment my mind went back to the first night we met, when he took me home…how he promised me a first date…how he told me that I deserved to be spoiled. I am fighting my tears while I am searching for a clue in his eyes, a clue about how he feels about me, but there isn’t any, no love, no lust, no desire not even hate. Why I am so stupid? What the fuck is wrong with me?

Jo’s POV I finally got home with not to much time to spare. After leaving Alex office I had four more meetings with clients who wanted to be sure their accounts would not be neglected because of the Court Partnership. I was getting ready to leave when I got the emails from the lawyers informing me about their selection. I smile reading the email is exactly how I imagined the teams. My biggest surprise came from Alex, who emailed me his own choices. My name is on top of the list, then Jordan’s name and Ashley’s. Jordan was my obvious choice, because he is good, I am happy that we get to work together, but when it comes to Ashley, I have my own concerns. Ashley was not on my list of people to work with. I mean she is smart and she does her job great, it’s just she’s single, attractive and n

Jo’s POV We got to the car in no time and Alex started driving to an unknown destination. I am curious to see what he has in mind for tonight. “So Sweetheart what is you want to know about me?” Alex asked me suddenly and I don’t know what is the first thing I want to know. “Why do you always send me white roses” I hear myself saying. It’s not something personal and I do have other questions, but let’s start with an easy one. Alex looks at me surprised, I don’t think that was something he ever thought I was going to ask him. “Well because I read an article about you and you stated that white roses were your favorite flowers. I was trying to impress you, did that work?” He said smiling. “Yeah actually it

I was trying to hide my disappointment. Coming upstairs would have been the perfect ending for this amazing night. But who knows maybe it’s better this way. “Fuck my manners” Alex said grabbing my waist and forcing his lips on mine. A moan, I couldn’t hold, escaped from my throat making him smirk. “Let’s go” Alex added and I really don’t know if I can behave in the elevator. Too bad there are security cameras everywhere… Alex tighten his grip while I am

Jo’s POV I found Alex and Sam together in the kitchen. Alex was leading towards my kitchen counter with his arms across his chest, while Sam was saying something, all flustered, in the middle of the kitchen, but I couldn’t hear a thing. I can see the shock on their face, definitely they were not expecting me. “What’s going on?” I asked but for some reason I don’t want to know the truth. “Sam and I were just talking&rd

I place a small kiss on his face before slipping off his embrace. It’s weird how much I still love him. After all these years I love him more and more every day. I know they are all grown ups but I still see them as babies. I passed Sebastien's door and I stopped for a moment. I will never forget the moment I found him sleeping in the school shack almost frozen. He wrapped his hands around my neck and said “mommy you came”. Jo’s POV Two days have passed since I received the subpoena stating that I was a witness in an ongoing investigation on Alex Montgomery. After going to Alex’s office I told him that it was best not to see each other until we figured out what the investigation was about. At first Alex didn’t agree but he knew this was for the best. You can fight something you have no information about. This morning Damien called me and told me that some Court Officials came to Alex’s apartment and escorted to the City Court where the investigation took place. So here I was, checking my wristwatch while walking on the City Court hallways. I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerves. I already know what I have to do. I went to the restroom and washed my hands thoroughly like I always do, going through the plan I have in my head ma

He looked worried so I smiled trying not to think about my parents anymore. “Hmm mmm” I hummed relaxing under his touch. His hands were rubbing slowly my feet taking away the pain. “What happened earlier? I saw you talking with your parents” Alex asked me again. “Nothing, really. My parents apologized, they want us to be a family” I replied shrugging my shoulders. “How do you feel about that?” Alex’s eyes searched mine trying to figure out what was happening in my mind. “I don’t know,” I replied, exhausted, layi
