Cassie’s POV

Leah is a very complicated girl. Even though most people don't give her the respect she deserves.

I'm not saying that whatever she does is acceptable or respect worthy. But all of the important decisions are the product of her brilliant brain. Even though Carolina takes most of the credit.

Sasha is the scheming devil. If any evil move has been made, believe it or not, sasha came up with it.

The most important and a leverage I could hold on one of those bastards is the little secret relationship Jaden and Rachel have. As we all know, Jaden was Carolina's high school boyfriend, and Carolina doesn't like it when one of her minions picks up what she has thrown .

I parked my car in an abandoned street where no camera could detect my car. I studied every corner of this town while I was back at the mafia, followed by burning every bit of paper I have of that town so that nobody could ever have an idea of where I might be.

Vicky is a very bright girl. Her parents were business tycoons, and she didn't have enough attention from them as they were very busy from work. Seeing that her granddaughter is not in good hands, her grandmother, Madame Susan, took her to her house near the town I live in. We were almost three years old when we met in preschool. She was the odd one from the crowd. She was quiet, and she always held her head down. I approached her, and we quickly became friends. She had gray eye color, and when people saw her eyes, they would stare at her too much. That's why she always hung her head low, but when she started getting familiar with the school, she warmed up to the community, and she started fitting in. Her grandmother loved me so much, and she used to give me shelter when nobody was at home but me. When I turned five, my father died. My mother was not fathomed by that incident and kept having boyfriends from time to time. In the middle of it all, she forgot I existed. And Madame Su

Third Person's POV It has been almost two weeks since Cassie and Tobias walked in this street, eating biscuits, and they also had some sweet memories, which he couldn't help but reminisce up on seeing the alleys. He has been concerned about Cassie’s safety ever since they came here, and assigning his men means calling his enemies to shift their attention to her. He wants to protect her from his world. But he is greedy when it comes to her. That's why no matter how he will never let her go even though he knows the only way he could protect her is by letting her go After driving for about five minutes, he reached the cafe where Cassie and he met. He went inside the cafe parking his car behind the building and sat in the same place where cassie sat when they first came here. He missed her. He missed her sweet scent and her blushing face. He missed her brown shining eyes, which draw him in every time he laid his eyes on them. But his thoughts were cut short when a female waitress came

Third Person's POV When Tobias reached the restaurant, he was welcomed with only the blonde devil and not his brunette angele. “Where is your daughter?” He didn't even greet nor did he go for the chair to sit around the table before he asked. Sarrah seems embarrassed about how she couldn't come with her daughter. “ She is on her way here, oh! Here she is.” She finished her sentence with excitement. Just then, he turned around to find Cassie walking in their direction. She was walking gracefully in the black tight fitted dress, which hugged her body in the most perfect places. Her hair tied up with elegance made her shine in the crowd. Tobias’ eyes followed the long slit on the side of the dress, leaving him wondering what was beyond. “Oh! Darling, you came right on time!” Sarrah squealed in happiness when Cassie arrived. She was mad at her for a moment because she was late, but at least she got the man drooling over her. “good evening, Mother.” Cassie said and nodded in

Cassandra cringed at the eyes of the people staring at her while she walked out of the office to the training field. Some of the eyes were pitiful, while some were cruel and judging. "She had it coming." She heard one of the girls whisper among her friends. Resisting the urge to wipe off the girl's smile, she walked straight to the metal door of the changing room. She sat on a wooden bench and sulked, putting her head down. Breathing heavily she banged her head to the wall in front of her. "Ughh!" She punched the wall forcefully. "Why!" She punched the poor wall again while bood started flowing out of her hands. "I can't anymore!" She threw her hand again for another hard punch but the pain didn't come to her as the previous two punches. She looked up and saw Michael holding her thrown punch. "This wouldn't change anything Cassie." He said, catching her in a strong gaze. "Why does he have to be such a jerk at this time?" She asked, snatching her hands out of his hold. He stood stra

Cassandra looked at her surroundings with a disgusted face. She came back to her hometown after ten years and it l looked just as she left it ten years ago. Clean. Yes it was clean and luxurious looking but the people who live in it were as filthy. They are the most vicious and ruthless group of people she's ever met. No one would think like this about their hometown after ten years of absence but Cassandra, she has no good memory in this place to even say one good word about it. Her legs dragged her close to her childhood home. The place which she was supposed to seek protection from but failed miserably. Standing at the front door of the white enormous apartment, she pressed the doorbell and heard a small *ding* come across the house. She waited for the other person to open the door while skimming her eyes on the beautiful looking flowers beside her leg. They used to be her only friends. Flowers, they were beautiful, soft and innocent. Her thoughts about flowers were cut

"It has been nice chatting with you, Cassie." Jaden spoke as he went out of the house without breaking his eyes from her enchanting brown eyes. "It has been nice talking to you too, Jaden," Cassie answered politely. They were currently walking side by side on the streets of the neighborhood which she used to live in."Are you going to stay at your mom's?" He asked again. To say he frankly liked the girl was an understatement. The way he has been staring at her for the most of their walk was evidence for it."I don't know. I came here planning on staying in a hotel but…" she stopped mid in her sentence. It's true that she never planned on staying in her former house but it seems like she would do much more while staying with her mother."You definitely should stay here. Your mother is happy while you're there. And I'd be happy if you were here." He stayed silent after saying that. "I don't want to be a burden to her. I mean I've been gone for ten years and suddenly I came without say

  • The Bullied    Chapter -4

Cassandra's POV: Last night I had a relatively less nightmare filled sleep. And waking up in the same room I have been staying in during my childhood days wasn't as beautiful as you might think it is. Well most of my things are not in it but surely the bed and other furniture are at the same place as I left them. It is bright here. I stretched my body inside the duvets and went out of the queen sized bed to head to the bathroom. I was wearing the pajamas my mother lent me last night and the material it's made from is soft as silk. I went to the shower, brushed my teeth with the spare toothbrush my mother gave me and went out of the bedroom to head to the kitchen. "Cassie? You woke up already?" It was my mother. She was sitting on the dining table with her coffee cup in her hand. "Yeah, Good morning." I said and joined her at the dining table. "Have you had a good sleep?" She asked again. This time putting her coffee cup on the table and shifting her whole body to my direction.

*Cassandra's POV*Oh my goodness. This was bigger than I imagined it to be. The last two days, my mother was running up and down to prepare this ball and I can't even get started with the money. I for sure know this isn't my mother's money spent on a welcoming ball. Who am I kidding, she isn't this rich. I swerved my eyes on many faces from our neighborhood. Most of the people present here aren't people I know of. They are here as per my mother's invitation. "Cassie? Right?" Red hair, black eyes. Those are the only two things I need to see to identify her. Sasha. I did manage to control the rage I felt when I saw her today though. "Yes, you must be the outspoken Sasha?" I said giving her the same amount of bright face that she's giving me. She seemed to be pleased with the compliments as I saw her face get brighter if possible. "You are right. And you look so beautiful in that dress by the way." She said and we started to walk aimlessly at the pool of people. "Thank you so muc

He has all the money in the world. You saw him on your welcome ball, Mr. Tobias Assante.” Sarrah unwrapped her legs finally when she said his full name.‘He also has all the enemy in the word, dear mother.’ Cassie thought to herself and smiled inwardly. Even Though her plan didn't involve Tobias when she first came here, by involving Tobias her plan has a greater chance of prospering than failing. Her mother would have paired her with some greedy man anyways. The fact that the greedy man according to her mother was Tobias; Which is safer.“Cassie, are you listening to me?” Sarrah asked again when she felt C

“Hey Cassie, welcome to the party!” Carolina was the one who opened the door and took Cassie away from Jaden's hand right when she set a foot in the house. It was that instant she pulled her to the crowded dance floor full of drunk people. Cassie scrunched her nose when the scent of alcohol filled her nose right after. She never liked this type of parties. She liked associating with people who are familiar, nice and sober. Not drunk spoiled grown- children.Unwillingly she started moving a little bit and Carolina on the other hand was wiggling her body like it didn't belong to her. It seems like the dance floor was her home.“Cassie, dance!” Carolina yelled through the loud music.“I am dancing though!”“Babe, that's not how you dance. Watch me!” she yelled again and started dancing sensually as if the latter wasn't energetic enough. The music was really helpful In gathering men around Carolina creating an opportunity for Cassie to escape from that dance floor. As she was trying to s

Cassie's POV:The best way to lie is telling half the truth. My mother taught me that but I am not proud to be using it on Tobias. Today he showed me that I mean something to him. I wish I never did. I wish I could just be his employee and that he would just kill me for running away but he forgave me. He never wants me to leave. I am a liar but I also am filled with rage, trauma and I know he won't judge me for what I'm going to do because he is just as tainted as me, if not even more. But why can't it be easy to tell? I just want to do this on my own. I don't want Tojas to see past me. My past self which was weak, foolish and ugly. I only want him to see this version of me. The strong, beautiful one.I am driving back to my house and currently I am looking at the man I got sick of, Jaden. He was talking with my mom in the freshly cut grass of our backyard. I hated the fact that the garage was in that place because if it wasn't I would have just saved my time and got to my room to
