Conri…
The next morning Conri felt like he did not sleep at all. He was tossing and turning so much during the night, and she haunted his dreams. He could not stop thinking about her at all… Her body, her hands, her smell… He sat up straight and rubbed his neck. He was glad to see that he was alone in his bed. He took his phone and send a text to Lisa, his sister, making sure she knew they were coming today. He got up and walked over to the shower. He is going to have to clear his head, he has a few important business things coming up. He got into the shower and just stood there, letting the warm water flow over his body. He finished up and got out. He had to get ready for the flight. He packed an overnight bag and went downstairs.
Marcus was already waiting for him, all packed.
“Morning Alpha” Marcus said as soon as he saw Conri.
“Morning.” Conri did not feel much like talking yet.
“You look like you haven’t slept.”
“I didn’t get much sleep.” Conri poured himself a cup of coffee and dished up a big plate of breakfast.
“Everything ok?” Marcus asked as he was taking a bite of his toast.
“Yeah, it’s that girl. I can’t stop thinking about her.” Conri closed his eyes as he yawned again. One thing that wolves need, as much as food, is some decent sleep…
“Oh, the one of yesterday. We can concentrate some more on her once we get back. Let’s just get all the business out of the way for now.”
“Yeah, I guess your right. Everything set?”
“Yes, jet all ready.”
“Ok, let’s go.”
Conri and Marcus took a short drive to the other side of the estate where there was a private airfield. The pilot and air hostess were already waiting and ready to go. They stopped the car and unloaded the suitcases. Marcus loaded them on the jet and they all boarded.
“Good morning, Mr Conri and Mr Marcus.” The airhostess greeted as they took their seats.
“Good morning, Raya.” Conri greeted.
They all took their seats and fastened their seatbelts. The jet took off and soon they were in the air, on their way to Canada, he needed to see his sister first.
Tala…
Tala woke up and did not feel like getting out of bed. She rolled onto her back and staired at the ceiling. Her stomach was growling, and she wanted some food. If it was not for the fact that she needed to eat, she would not get out up. She dragged her body out of bed and went to take a quick shower. As she got undressed, she heard that jet again. She has wondered every time she heard it, where it came from and who it was. There was not much going on around their camp and they were not near any airfields as far as she knew. How she wished she could be on that plan. Just going anywhere, away from here…
She opened the shower taps and got in. She stood there for quite some time, enjoying the water over her body, and closing her eyes. She would dream that she was anywhere but here… She finished up and got dressed. She went downstairs and her father and mother were waiting for her at the table.
“Come sit Tala.” Her father was using his Alpha voice and it already made her shiver.
“As I said before, you are to go to Hemming.”
“But father” Tala interrupted, and her father got up so quickly, it made her head spin, and she could feel the sting on her cheek. It burned and she could taste a faint trace of blood in her mouth. Her father slapped her…
“You will not interrupt me when I am talking! I am your Alpha” His voice rolled older her like thunder and all she could do was obey.
“As I said, you are to go to Hemming. You need to start preparing yourself and getting ready.”
“When?” Tala did not look up from the floor.
“The next full moon. In two weeks’, time.”
“So soon? What is the hurry?” Her mother took the chance and opened her mouth.
“That is none of your business. You need to help her prepare and make sure she is ready.” Her father did not have any emotion in his voice when he spoke to her mother, and it broke her heart. She was so used to men treating women this way and she did not want to believe that was all there was. The only thing that kept Tala going was the thought that she would get away from it all…
“Come sweetie, let’s make you something to eat.” Her mother got up and started making some breakfast. Her father also got up and walked out of the kitchen.
Tala felt relieved when he left.
“Mother, what am I going to do? You know I can’t go to Hemming!” Tala felt desperate and looking at her mother with tears in her eyes.
“Oh, my baby girl, we will make a plan. I am not sure what yet, but I will figure something out.”
Tala looked shocked; she could not believe what she was hearing. This was the first time ever that her mother made her feel hope. The first time ever that her mother said she would help her, knowing what will happen if her father found out.
“Thank you, mother,” Tala went over and hugged her mother. She started feeling hope again and knowing her mother would stand up for her.
They made breakfast together and had a few laughs like old times and Tala felt like she could go on again.
Just after they finished their breakfast, there was a knock on the kitchen door. It was Dolph.
“Morning.” Tala greeted him with a smile.
“Morning, morning Luna” Dolph greeted her mother.
“Morning Dolph. I will leave you two to it. I have some other things to do.” And with that her mother left the kitchen.
“We need to talk.” Dolph almost whispered
“Why are you whispering?” Tala smiled and looked interested.
“It’s about the other day, you know, something unexpected happened.” Dolph was trying to get Tala on the same page. He pulled some faces as he spoke, hoping she would understand.
“Oh, that thing. Yes, we can go and have a look again.” Tala immediately knew what he was talking about, and it would sound like nothing suspicious just for in case someone was listening.
“I will meet you there in half an hour.” Dolph whispered again and then he left.
Tala quickly cleaned up the kitchen and wondered what Dolph could find out. She was truly interested in the man she met yesterday and should like to know as much about him as possible. Even if nothing will ever happen, she could still fantasize… She smiled to herself as he drank her last sip of coffee.
She went upstairs to put on her running shoes and was ready for some fresh air.
She went for her usual morning run and took a detour to meet Dolph again behind the old warehouse.
“Hey.” Tala greeted as she stopped running and stretching her legs.
“Hey, I tried to find out as much as I could from the way you described the two men you saw yesterday. And you will never believe who they are!”
“WHO? Dolph, who?!” Tala was getting impatient as Dolph always like to build up some suspense.
“It was the Alpha and his Beta from the Blue Moon Pack…”
“Wait, are you sure?” Tala felt it hard to believe him.
“Yes, I am sure!”
“But I don’t understand what they were doing in our territory. And even more, I have only heard rumours of that Alpha and his pack, and it always seemed too good to be true.” Tala’s mind started wondering back to when he was standing right in front of her. She could see why everyone always talked about how tall he is, amongst other things…
“Tala, do you know what this means?” Dolph shook her to get her attention as she was staring out into space, very deep in thought.
“No, what does this mean? It does not mean anything Dolph. It might be that they were lost or something.”
“Oh, come on Tala! You can’t be that naïve. If that Alpha was here, it was for a reason…!”
“And what would that reason be, huh?” Tala was starting to get a little irritated with Dolph.
“I don’t know, but we are going to find out.”
“And how are you planning to do that? Please Dolph, this is starting to feel a bit ridiculous.”
‘No, it’s not Tala. I have a feeling about this. I need to find out why they were here.”
“Come on, your mind is chasing something that might not be anything. He is an Alpha, and one of the most powerful, so why would he bother with anything about our small little pack? And even a pack that is well known for their brutality. No rogues even want to join my father’s pack. That is how little everyone thinks of us. So Dolph, please, just let it go.”
“Come on, you promised you were going to teach me to fight.”
“Ok, but just give me a second.” Dolph has come prepared, and he knew it was like finding a needle in a haystack, but he just had to take the chance. He decided to leave them a note for in case they might come back again. That is the only way he would ever be able to make contact.
“What are you doing?” Tala asked as she saw him putting something behind the fallen down building.
“Just a little note.”
“A little what? What are you doing Dolph!”
“I have to know, and I am willing to take that chance Tala.”
“You are crazy you know that, and I am telling you, this is all nothing. You are leaving that note, and nothing is going to happen to it. They are not going to come back.”
“Come on, let’s get on with the training. Before Hemming feels like surprising us again…”
Dolph and Tala started with their training session and with everything new she learned, she felt her self-confidence growing… Dolph was a good trainer, and he was one of the few fighters their pack had.
They finished up, with no interruptions and Tala felt good. After what her mother said this morning and her training session, she felt like things might just be starting to look up a little.
She told Dolph to go back to camp so long, she first wanted to shift and have a long decent run.
Conri…
He must have fallen asleep during the flight because he felt himself being shaken gently and it was Raya who was trying to wake him.
“We are ready to land sir, please fasten your seatbelt.” She said softly.
“Oh, ok. I must have drifted off.’ Conri sat up a bit more and fastened his seatbelt. He looked over to where Marcus was sitting, closing some files.
“You were working?”
“I was just double checking a few things, making sure everything was ready for the meeting later today.”
“Thank you, Marcus, I could not have asked for a better second.”
“I am glad you got some rest. You ready to see Lisa?”
“Yes, I texted her this morning, making sure she remembered that we were coming.”
“Ok great. If everything goes according to plan, we should be able to warp the business deal up by close of business tomorrow and then head back home.”
“Yes, let’s hope it all goes smoothly.” Conri was putting an offer on the table for another oil company that was struggling. He has already expanded to quite a few countries and his build his company from the ground up to a multi-billion-dollar company. His hard work pays off, it was a tall order, making a living in the real world and having his wolf side. But through everything, it just made him stronger…
As the jet set down wheels, he could not wait to see Lisa. It has been a few months and he needed to know she was ok. As they came to a stop, Conri unfastened his seat belt and was ready to get out. As the doors opened, he saw Lisa standing in the distance. He felt relieved and started walking over to her.
“Hi big brother.” Lisa greeted him and threw her arms around him; He always enjoyed her hugs as she was the only real family he had left.
“Hey, I am glad to see you are ok. I don’t hear from you as often as I would like.”
“Hi Lisa.” Marcus was coming up behind them.
“Marcus!” Lisa gave him also a big hug. She as a very soft spot for Marcus, because she knew he would always look after her brother.
“Come on, I have the day off, so I have already booked us for a late brunch. And we can catch up.”
They loaded the suitcases in Lisa’s car and were heading for the restaurant, making some small talk.
Conri was very deep in thought, as he was still thinking about HER…
“Hey, earth to Conri…” Lisa broke through his thoughts.
‘We are here, no let’s go eat and you can tell me all about her.” Lisa said with a knowing smile.
“Talk about who?” Conri asked, looking are her with innocent eyes.
They all made their way to the restaurant and took a quite table in the corner. They ordered a few plates of everything as food will never go to waste between wolves.
“Now, brother, tell me more.” Lisa said taking a big of her burger.
“We don’t know much, yet.” Conri frowned as he looked at his sister, hearing is own words.
“We followed her scent the one day, Conri saw her, but that is as far as we got. She is with one of the packs in our area.”
“When you say, ‘worst packs’, what’s wrong with that pack?”
“They are very well known for their brutality and no manners, to say the least. Their Alpha is also not a very good man. We have heard how they treat the women.” Marcus just shook his head when he thought back what the rumours were.
"That is not good. So, what are you planning on doing?”
“I am not sure, maybe you can come home and join my pack, and help me.” Conri said, winking at his sister.
“Now that you mention it, I have been thinking a lot the last few weeks. I want to be part of a pack, being a rogue is getting boring.”
“So, what is stopping you?” Conri asked his siter, being very serious.
“Give me time to think.” Lisa smiled and took another burger.
They had a nice lunch and made some more small talk. Lisa dropped them off by the car hire place and they went their separate ways, promising to keep more in touch.
Conri and Marcus had their first business meeting in half an hour and started driving to the site.
Conri had more to think about now, he would really like it if his sister came to join him. And then there was still HER… He just could not stop thinking about her. Conri shook his head as if he wanted to clear his thoughts for the meeting.
They stopped in a parking in front of the site and went upstairs to the boardroom. This was one of the companies that Conri was after for almost 8 months. Closing the deal will mean adding a few zeros to his empire.
The meeting went quick, as he did not have many patients when it came to business, and they almost immediately accepted his offer to purchase. The deal was done and Conri felt victorious, the day went well.
They packed up and left for the hotel where him and Marcus was going to spend the night. They have another meeting tomorrow morning early and after that Conri wants to get back as soon as possible, he felt this urge to see her again, he needed to see her again, and soon…
They got settled for the night and Conri ordered some room service, he did not feel like a lot of people and his mind was only on one place. He ate, watching nothing in particular on tv and went to shower. He undressed and opened the taps, letting the hot water run over his muscles. He stood there for a while and his mind drifted to her body… He could almost taste her, her smell, he just wanted to feel her, undress her and have her all to himself. He felt himself getting hard just thinking about her and he smiled a wicked smile. She will be his, no matter what!
That night again Conri tossed and turned, not getting enough rest, it was almost like she haunted his dreams. He got up early and took a shower and getting dressed for the meeting. Everything had to happen quickly as he was in a hurry to get home.
He met Marcus for an early breakfast, and they discussed the second meeting. Marcus was going to take the lead as it was just a surprise visit and one of Conri’s companies. Just making sure everything was still running smoothly.
“It doesn’t look like you got much sleep last night either.” Marcus said as he started the rental vehicle and drove to the meeting.
“I didn’t.” Conri gave a short answer, looking out the window.
“Ok, you don’t seem to be in the mood for talking much.”
“I’m not, I want to get home.”
“Ok, I will keep the meeting short, we will be on our way home before 10:00”
“Thank you,” was all that Conri answered.
The meeting went quickly, as Marcus promised, and they were all packed and ready to fly by 10:00.
Conri felt a excitement growing inside him, knowing he was heading back home. But then it dawned on him, he has absolutely no plan. He does not know how and where he will be able to see her again. He felt the frustration growing inside him and he felt restless.
“Relax Alpha.” Marcus said in his Beta voice, all business aside now.
“I can’t, I need to see her.”
“And you will.”
The flight home felt like it took forever. Eventually they started descending and Conri could not wait to get out.
“Meet me in half an hour Marcus, we are going for a run…” Was all that Conri said before he got off the jet.
“Yes Alpha.” Marcus knew better than to argue with Conri once he was in a mood.
Conri just went to undress and started heading towards the tree lines. He started to get very impatient when Marcus was a little bit late.
Conri already shifted and just snarled at Marcus when he arrived. Marcus did not argue nor said anything, he just undressed and started shifting.
Conri run as fast as he could to the border line, something was chasing him. SHE was chasing him. When they got to the border line, Conri shifted back and got dressed. He did not wait or Marcus and started walking quietly in the direction where he saw her last. Marcus had to hurry up and catch up to him. They walked in silence, each very deep in their own thoughts. When they came to the old warehouse again, Conri made sure they stayed out of sight. As they got closer, something caught his eye. A little piece of paper, pinned to the side of the broken-down wall.
It read the following:
Good day Alpha Conri,
I am not sure what your business is being on our territory, but please note that I am on your side. I will not tell anyone, nor will I ever be anything like the pack that I was born in.
Please, if I can have a moment of your time. Then you can maybe explain why you are here.
I will do my best to be here, tonight at midnight.
Please meet us.
Thank you
Conri folded the piece of paper and put it in his pocket. He was not sure if this was a trap, or what this was all about. He took a moment and smelled the air; her faint scent lingered in the air. It calmed him down, knowing that she was here.He gave Marcus the signal that they will be heading back, and he will talk to his Beta when they are back home.
When they got back on their own territory, Marcus followed Conri to his office.
“We need to talk. I found a note, but I am not sure how to handle it.” Conri took the note and handed it over to Marcus.
Marcus read it and took his time answering.
“I know you might not want to hear this but what if it’s a trap?”
“Then what do you suggest? I need to get to know her, I need to see her again. And at this stage, he is my only lead.”
“If this is a trap, we won’t be able to defend ourselves. You know what that pack is like. I would say, let’s take a few of our best pack members. Strongest in battle. After what happened last, I am sure you do not want to get kidnapped again.”
“Yes, definitely not. Then it’s settled. You decide who you want to take with, and we all meet tonight at eleven at the tree line.”
“Ok, then that is settled.”
Tala…When Tala got home, her best friend was waiting for her, with a funny look on his face. She could see in his eyes that he had something he really needed to tell her, but no one else can know. He always had this strange look in his eyes, Tala came to know that look so well over the years, as there are many secrets that the two of them share. She grabbed a snack from the kitchen table, and they headed out to the open field, far away from everyone else. It almost felt to Tala that everyone in her father’s pack were against her, expect her mother and her best friend. But then again, all their pack members are very scared of her father, for more reasons than one. Tala knew it was not out of respect, but fear that they were still in this pack.“Tala, are you ready for tonight?” Dolph asked with anticipation, almost biting his lip, waiting for Tala to answer.“I am not sure Dolph, it’s a big risk. What if they want to hurt us, or has something against the pack and want revenge on my f
Tala…Tala stood frozen to the spot as she watched Conri, and his pack members leave. His broad shoulders, his big hands, his muscularly was all that she could think of. She still felt wet between her legs, and she bit her bottom lip. She could get aroused just by his touch, what would happen if they were alone… She closed her eyes and could feel her heart starting to race. She was not used to this feeling, it was all so new, but she needed more, wanted more, she wanted more of HIM…Dolph came up behind her and pulled her back to the present.“We need to go Tala, before someone realizes that we are gone…”Tala turned around and looked at him, and almost felt angry because the moment had to end.“Don’t look at me that way Tala, I am not the one you should be angry with. And speaking of, why are you angry…?”“I want more Dolph, I need more. I have never felt this way. Just with his presence, he makes me feel powerful, unstoppable, like anything is possible.”“Slow down, an hour ago you
Conri…As Conri finished his shower, he got dressed in a casual jean and a polo neck shirt. He went to lay down on his bed, fully dressed, counting the minutes. He staired up at the ceiling, wondering what she will feel like, her skin, her hair. He felt himself and his wolf get excited just thinking about her…There was a light knock on his door, interrupting his thoughts and he immediately felt irritated.“Come in” he said, irritably.“Hi, do you have a minute?” Sheila popped her head around.“Sheila, what is it?” He sat up on his bed, popping some pillows behind his back for support.“Did you get the gift I left in your office?” She asked, a little nervous.“Yes, but I did not open it.”“Why not?” Sheila felt offended and stepped inside the room. She had a sexy little dress on, showing off her long perfect legs. He did appreciate beauty; he was not a rock. But standing there, looking so sexy, she did nothing for him.“I was too busy. What was in it, Sheila?” Conri felt annoyed and j
Conri…Conri and his pack went home in silence. His pack members keeping an eye out for any danger, and Conri caught up in his own thoughts. He could not get her out of his mind. Something changed tonight, when he was inside her, he felt something different, something he has never felt before. It was almost like she awakened something deep inside of him. He felt stronger, more powerful, she has awoken something inside of him. Something he did not know existed…Before he knew it, they were back on their own territory and Conri thanked each one of his pack members that went with. He could not have asked for a more loyal pack. He knew he will always be safe, and he would give his last breath to safe his own pack. They all went to their own houses and as Conri walked back to his house, he saw the next shift get ready to patrol. He thanked them for everything they do. Just that little bit of acknowledgment and they knowing he truly appreciates what they do, Conri believes makes a world of
Conri…Conri woke up from a night of tossing and turning. His muscles ached and he was not really in the right mindset for this business trip. He knew it needs to happen, so he got up and went into the bathroom. He started to undress and opened the water taps. He stood for a few seconds, waiting for the water to get warmer, and he stepped inside the shower. He closed his eyes and let the hot water run over his face. He went over everything that Sheila told him last night and he had no idea how he was going to deal with this. One thing was for sure, he most definitely needs to deal with this…Conri finished showering and closed the water, as he got out, he took the towel and wrapped it around his waist. His hair still wet and dripping from the wash, he went inside his bedroom and got dressed. The thoughts running through his head as he packed an overnight bag. He went downstairs and to grab something for breakfast before he must meet Marcus.“Morning my boy.” Came Jones’ voice as Conri
Conri…The next morning, Conri woke up at the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris, feeling relieved that yesterday went well and the contract went through without any problems. He added another Hotel to his empire, and it felt good. He could not wait to get home though. He needed to see Tala, he missed her more than anything. He ordered some room service. While waiting for his breakfast, he took a quick shower. I packed his bag and rang Marcus, he needed to be ready in half an hour. Conri wanted to get back home.Half an hour later, Marcus was waiting for him in the hallway, packed and ready. They had a last word with the Hotel manager, and he promised to keep them updated. They went downstairs and the rental car was already waiting for them. It was the normal business chat on the way to the airport. Marcus was not just his second, but also his biggest asset in his company. They have built a very strong, and powerful company and Conri would not want any other man beside him.The flight home f
Conri…Conri could feel Tala froze, as if she has done something wrong. He looked into her pretty eyes and kissed her tenderly.“Have I done something wrong?” Was the first soft reply.“No, no baby, you haven’t done anything wrong. I needed you, I needed this. But we need to have a serious talk, about your father…”“Oh” Tala got up from Conri and started to get dressed.Conri also stood up and put his pants and shirt back on. He took her by the hand and pulled her back against him, trying to give her some reassurance about his feelings. He went to sit on a big rock and beckoned her to come sit next to him.“I think I would rather stand, thank you. It still hurts a little.” Tala rubbed her tender back. She could still feel the bruises, they are already much better, but it’s still sensitive.Conri got up and walked over to her.“Can I do anything to make it better?”“I wish you could, but it will heal soon enough.” Tala smiled up at him and looked up at the moon. She always loved the mo
Conri…Conri could not sleep that night, he was tossing and turning and eventually just gave up on the idea of sleeping. He took a long hot shower and went downstairs to get something to eat. It was still dark outside, and it was very quiet in the house. No one was awake yet and Conri enjoyed the peace and quiet. He had so much to think about, he was not sure where to begin…He made himself a few sandwiches and went to eat in on the porch. The air was still crisp, and he loved the early morning dew smell. In the distance he could see a few of his pack members getting ready to patrol. He sat down and took a few bites. He really was very fortunate, and he has worked hard to build his empire. He had the largest pack in the Northern Europe, and he felt proud of each wolf that was part of his pack. He could not have asked for better. He knew they needed a Luna, and he was working on that…Tala might not be ready to take on such a big responsibility, and she still has so much to learn, but
Tala opened her eyes and yawned. She had trouble sleeping lately as her second child was a much more intense pregnancy than the first. She tried to roll out of bed, but it was not easy at all. She heard Conri in the shower and decided to wait for him. She heard the water closing and then she saw him come out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. She never got tired of seeing that beautiful, sexy body! She feasted her eyes on him and he laughed.“Morning babes, how did you sleep?” he planted a kiss on her forehead, and she stuck out her tongue at him.“Not much better than last night. This one can come now…!” Conri helped her sit up and she swung her legs of the bed. She got up with effort and walked over to the toilet. When she came back, her son was jumping up and down on the bed, being his joyful, energetic self and Tala could not help but laugh. Their son looked just like Conri, the same eyes, same bone structure. He was a split image of his father.“Morning mama” he
Tala… As Tala laid in the bed, staring up at the ceiling, she realized she never phoned Conri… She did not plan on going down now, as things were feeling weird when it came to Alex. He was avoiding her, and she was not sure why. She turned to lay on her side, but sleep did not come easy. She tossed and turned and eventually fell asleep. The next morning, she was awake very early, and she got dressed quickly. She almost ran downstairs, hoping to see Linda and Alex. Alex was standing in the kitchen, busy making himself some coffee, and he jumped when Tala said morning. “Oh, morning. I did not think you would be awake so early…” He did not really want to look her in the eyes. “I was hoping to catch you before you go out. Did I do something wrong?” Alex turned to look at her, with an intense look. Tala started to feel uncomfortable as she did know what to expect from him. “I was really worried about you yesterday, and there is just something about you Tala. I don’t know what it is,
Conri…Conri woke up, feeling that there was a part of him missing. The spot next to him in bed was cold and he stroked his hand over it. He missed her terribly, and everything inside him screamed that he had to go and look for her. But he knew, that might be the biggest mistake he ever makes. He stood up and climb of the bed, he walked over to the bathroom and took a long shower. When he went downstairs, Tala’s mother was busy in the kitchen. Jones was there, making some coffee.“Morning, Louve, Jones.” Conri greeted in a flat voice. He would never be rude, but he did not feel like being friendly either.“Morning Conri, I wanted to thank you again for everything. Any news maybe on Tala?” Her mother asked, with hope in her voice.“No sorry, nothing yet. I will let you know as soon as I hear from her or have any updates.” Conri turned around and walked to his office. He wanted to be alone, and he needed to catch up on some work. It has been a crazy few days; and he needed to keep busy,
Conri…Conri was still holding Tala’s mother in his arms, when he saw her starting to shift, he picked her up and carried her over to some trees, out of harms way. He put her down and as he turned around, he heard her father’s wolf cry out in pain and then everything went silent. He watched as Tala’s wolf went to lay down on the ground, staring at the lifeless body laying on the ground. That was her first kill, and he could see she was not taking it very well, does not matter whom it was.He walked slowly over to her, as she has not moved an inch. He did not want to startle her, but as he got closer, she lifted her beautiful head and those piercing blue eyes were blank. He immediately saw that she did not know how to deal with this.He slowly reached out his hand and wanted to touch her, but she snapped at him. He pulled back and he watched as she slowly got up and turned around. He knew there was nothing that he could do to help while she was in wolf form. He had to let her go, and h
Tala…She run as fast as she could, and the closer she got to her old camp, the more determined she was feeling. As they reached the camp side, she stopped dead in her tracks… There was no one in sight. It was as if it was abandoned. No one was patrolling, no one was sitting by a campfire, there was no one… Conri came up to her and looking around.“Where do you think everyone went?” Conri asked in a low voice.“They are here, believe me. I just think they are hiding.” Tala turned around and staired at the main house, her old home.Tala can remember still thinking to herself that it was too quiet, when suddenly wolves started jumping out of the pack houses. Some of their own wolves has already transformed, and they all stormed to the front. It was an ambush, and they were waiting for them. Tala could hear yelling and bones cracking and wolves growling all around her.The war has begun…And Conri was not beside her anymore, as she looked around, more of her old pack members started to c
Conri…As soon as his phone rang, he knew something was wrong. Marcus did not bother him this time of the night unless it was very urgent. As soon as he put the phone down, Tala was standing next to him, fully dressed and ready to go.“What is it?” Tala asked urgently“Sheila came back, or pieces of her came back. Come on, we need to go” Conri took her by the hand, and they walked very quickly out of the bedroom and down the stairs. They did not speak a word until they got to the front door.“Tala, I am not sure what we are going to find, or how it is going to look. It might be not a pretty sight at all. Are you up for it?” Conri turned to her, holding her by both arms.“Yes, I am. We are wasting time Conri. We need to go.” Tala shrugged his hands of her and opened the front door. Conri was right behind her.The stich caught them both by surprise and Conri immediately looked at Tala. He could see she almost looked nauseous, but she pushed through, and they walked over to where Marcus
Conri…Conri sat at the kitchen counter, waiting for Tala to get back, getting impatient… Jones sat next to him, making small talk, but he did not hear a word she was saying. The back door opened, and Tala came walking in, Conri could feel the relieve washing over him when he saw her, and she was ok. He could see she looked tired, and he knew she pushed herself too hard, too soon.“Are you ok?” Conri asked as she came over and sat next to him.“Yes, thank you. Just feeling very tired again. The adrenaline of earlier is wearing off and I can feel my body is struggling. I am going to go and lay down for a little while.”“I need to sign some papers; you want to come and rest on the couch in my office please?”“Yeah sure.” Tala did not have the energy to argue.“Jones, will you please send some juice and a few snacks to the office?”“Sure, I will see you in a little bit.”“Come on babes.” Conri stood up and helped Tala to her feet. They walked in silence to the office and Conri opened the

Conri thought back at the time when he met her, and she has always been very secretive. She would never just share anything about where she grew up, or her family. So, in short, he did not really know anything about her. She became part of his pack and about 2 years ago, they became intimate, and even all the nights lying in bed, Conri thought back she never talked about herself…It made the knot is his stomach grow bigger, who was she really…?After dinner, Conri excused himself and he told Tala to go up to the bedroom and take a long bath. He would see her in a little bit.Conri kissed Tala on her forehead before he headed out the front door. He walked with big strides, he wanted to get to Marcus, quickly. He saw Marcus sitting outside his house, very deep in thought.“Conri” Marcus jumped up when he saw him approaching.“Marcus, we might have big
