Chapter 46: Secret Meeting

I made my way through the winding paths of the local park, a sense of anticipation building in the pit of my stomach.

I was about to meet Cathy in secret and as I approached our designated meeting spot, a secluded bench tucked away beneath the shade of a towering oak tree, I couldn’t help but wonder if Cathy was even gonna show up.

Sending her the message that I wanted to meet up with her alone had been a tedious task. Angie had to bribe the maid and nanny who work at the Davis manor to get the word across.

So when I rounded the corner, heading to our specified location, surprise made me halt in my steps as I saw Cathy, sitting with her head bowed, her shoulders slumped in defeat.
