Chapter 90

I sighed and allowed her to lull me into sleep. If my mind found it weird that I slept while my Draygana stayed awake, it neither cared nor worried about it because it allowed me to easily fall into a deep sleep.

Dreams grew and unfolded into a weird mixture of reality and a horrible fantasy. Pain, blood, and a hungry vengeance colored this new world where Tohr had died, and I was left leading a grey, emotionless existence.

I felt restless even in the dream, and I tried and tried to run, but I couldn't get far. The emotions ran so high, my need to escape so great that suddenly I was flying. Soaring high, I felt free, indestructible, powerful as if there was nothing that could hurt me as I was long as I continued to fly away. My eyes were on the ground, searching it ardently. Searching for something; something I needed badly.
