Silas
I hold Lux’s hand tightly as we walk through some portal and end up back where we started. Back in Elysium, full of darkness, and random bursts of colorful lights.
But this time they don’t tempt me or distract me. I’m too focused on my excitement over the news that we’re expecting.
Lux is quiet though and I know that she isn’t as excited as I am. I’m not sure why though. Kids were always in our plans; this is just a little earlier than what we were planning.
I try to reassure her as I move my arm around her waist, “You know, this is good news, right?”
