Chapter 31 - Colder Than Any Glaciers In The Whole World...

Staring at the approaching Kiko who was being chased by the Mustang Spider, Yman steadied his breathing. Watching that person's gaze to him, and the way he lured the monster towards him, he was 99% sure that this idiot was up to something not good.

Kiko was grinning inside seeing that Yman was standing alone in a safe distance at their back. He was not in resonance with his deity. What a perfect scenario to kill this frog. If the Mustang Spider able to collide at him. For sure he was dead meat!

And him? No one would suspect him. After all, it was easy to find a reason. Just several seconds it took that he neared that guy.

The others were having different outlook at the current situation. Chloe, Bob, and Mai were having stupefied faces. .

After hearing Yman's words he felt he gulped something bitter in his throat. But it happened only in an instant before a smirk appeared on his mouth. No matter what this person was saying. In the end, he would die today. Hehe! And they could not blame him, since he was not the one who did it. He was not even touching him. Everyone would think that it was just an unlucky accident.

He was using his sword to block the monster's rapid attack using its spear-like legs.

Yman noticed that the monster could not use its web attack. He sighed. He wanted to see Kiko in such a state.

"Hehe, listen to me everyone! Our benevolence teammate offered himself as a good bait! Let's not waste his courage. Or his sacrifice was it? Regardless, let's proceed to plan C!"

Yman noticed that his teammates were having second thoughts.

Most of them were enveloped by bright green mana. Since all of them were having a breakthrough below 10%(level 10). Only Yman that wasn't glowing.

Chloe stored back her magical pistol. And aimed her right hand below the monster to where was Kiko laying trying to defend himself from the monster's attack. W-Well, she believes her magic could not kill him. But it might hurt him a bit. Her left hand was supporting her right hand.

A moment later, her right hand was enveloped by energies with purple color. And a sphere of purple-colored appeared below the monster.

Then it exploded.

The ground cave in and the monster's body hovered in the air and was flipped when landed.

Below the monster, Kiko with white eyes was being pinned by the monster's huge body.

Seeing this situation, Yman grinned.

"Miss Almina!"

"Yes!" She dashed and slashed all the monster's legs. Almina followed him without any questions. Her cheeks even went rosy when he called her name.

After losing all its legs, the monster had no way to retaliate or overturn its massive body. And Yman was checking on its health points not to drop at 30% to avoid activating the ability of Magic Cryst.

"Now archer!" Yman shouted.

But no archer fired. He looked behind him. Just to see a cold gaze from that blonde.

"Hey, you! What are you doing?" He asked with a sneer. He was already tired and wanted to finish this fight.

"Shut up! Did you forget what I said a while ago? I don't want a weakling to order me!" And she replied.

Almina knitted her brows: "Hmph, this girl is too callous," she muttered.

Yman sighed: |This girl is a pain in the ass.| He thought.

"I'm not too sure about that blonde." Suddenly, the smiling guy said and dashed towards the monster while summoning a javelin with 3 meters long.

Seconds later the javelin was enveloped by green mana and he threw it directly on the monster's butt.

The monster's head was not easy to pierce from the back of its forehead or below. Because it had a hard shell protecting it. It was protecting pretty well the Magic Cryst on its forehead. So Yman instructed them that their only choice was to pierce it from its butt towards the monster's forehead.

And so the javelin he thrown pierced through its butt and hit the Magic Cryst from behind. They were shocked by the power of the javelin.

The Magic Cryst popped up and it bounced and rolled on the ground before it stopped.

All of them sighed in relief seeing the monster health points dropped at 10% and it did not heal itself again.

Kiko was being pinned below the monster and could not make a move. He almost lost his consciousness from Chloe's shockwave. If not because of his Mana Membrane ability he might die already. But right now his health points were at most 150 left.

He was enraged but he could not do anything in his current situation. He wanted to kill that frogman! He really was puzzled why this monster leaped and did not hit that guy.

Chloe after she fired that shockwave had lost her strengths and the resonance with her deity Jazz, already canceled. Same with her, Mai also already exhausted her mana and was resting beside Chloe. Together with their deities.

Almina was about to finish the monster's life when suddenly it was enveloped by dark red energies. And it was oozing with killing intent and murderous aura. Everyone felt the eerie sensation. Because of this the guy below it — Kiko had struggled and tried to push the monster's enormous body.

Yman who was having difficulty maintaining on feet had managed to call out for Bob.

Bob's veins were about to pop out from its muscle while fending the monster.

Yman noticed Kiko already lost the resonance with his deity. Looks like his health points already reached zero. And now blood and wounds started to appear all over his body.

The monster was sent flying towards the forest and crushes all the trees it passes by. Someone punched it.

"This battle is over." Instructor Goki's voice resonates.

He glanced at Kiko's state and frowned. Then he hastily called for a healer.

He said that the spider loves having a living meal. And it saw Yman as a meal from the beginning. Since he was the monster's meal, he must live until the monster decided to eat him. It only attacks those it deemed dangerous. But because Yman was not in his resonance. It was looking at him as a harmless being and was treating him as a food that shouldn't be touched.
