Thompson sat on the front porch of his house, enjoying the serene view of his well-kept garden. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape. Thompson stood up slowly, taking a deep breath to steady himself. Santos emerged from the car, a cold, calculating look in his eyes. Two burly men flanked him, their expressions as hard as stone. Thompson knew this wasn’t a social call.
