Immediately when I walked into Alex's house, my smile broadened. I felt relaxed, and I felt like it was truly my house.

So this was what Sally kept to herself alone?

I promised myself that as long as I had stepped foot into this house with my belongings, I would never leave.

"Hey," I called out to one of the maids who had just walked down the stairs.

She walked towards me and bowed in front of me with a surprised look in her eyes.

"Get another maid and bring my luggage in. I'd be right back."

"But..."

She opened her mouth to speak, but I lifted my palm, and she went mute.

"Do as I say, or you'd get your belongings thrown to the street."

I walked out of the house after laying down my orders. I walked towards the car that was parked outside the gate.

The same car that drove me to Alex's house.

My reporter friend and I had become partners in crime. We both needed each other, so we simply gave one another whatever we wanted.
