I could see it in his eyes, in the shape of his nose, in the curve of his lips. It was a face that I had once loved, once trusted, and now...Now, I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. Anger, sadness, pity, and frustration all swirled together in a toxic mix that left me feeling breathless and bewildered. The nun's voice cut through my thoughts, her words a gentle reminder that I was not alone. But how now, it seemed like that was impossible."I'm so disappointed, Alex," I said, feeling the tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I'm so disappointed that I'll never get to take revenge o
