Chapter 5- Who is the mastermind?
It was a surveillance video. Mr Reed picked the tablet from the table, showing the video to everyone.
Abigail felt strange watching the person in the video. Not only did she look utterly fat in the video, there was something wrong with her. She seemed to have no spirit at all, like someone who has lost their will to live.
This wasn't her. She couldn't be that person in the video. Abigail had always been spirited and bright, how did her life change so drastically?
She fought back her unwanted tears, focussing on the video. She saw herself walk to the staircase like a zombie who'd completely lost its human brains. Then Clara and Emma emerged from behind, they smiled sickly at each other. Just as Abigail began to descend the stairs, Clara and Emma's hands pushed her down the stairs. The housekeeper rushed from the kitchen to Abigail with concern, while Clara and Emma were still standing at the entrance of the stairs.
Abigail placed a hand on her chest, watching the video. The housekeeper helped Abigail up and insisted she called the doctor, but she refused, walking back to her room.
Mr Reed paused the video. Abigail couldn't suppress the wide grin that cut through her lips. She was right after all, these silly servants had indeed pushed her.
Abigail watched in euphoria as Mr Reed's unfeeling gaze met the servants.
Emma fell to the floor, her head kissing the marble floors. Clara followed suit.
"M-Mr. Reed, please forgive us!"
"For what exactly? For lying about the crime you committed, or for attempting to murder my wife?" His voice was deeper and chillier than usual.
They couldn't respond, their eyes were glassy with tears.
Asher's deep green eyes met Abigail's. "Do whatever you please with them,"
"Thank you, Mr Reed." Her eyes gleamed with satisfaction.
"My lady, please forgive us. We know we are wrong, please give us another chance." Clara crawled to her, suddenly lowering her voice while Emma sobbed loudly. "Don't be cocky now, Mr Reed will leave soon, if you value your life, remedy this situation at once!"
Frozen, Abigail thought she had heard wrong. Yes, her ears must be somehow faulty, otherwise how could a mere servant dare talk back at her?
What kind of life have you been living Abigail Crawford?
Abigail fumed with rage, before she could stop herself her hands crashed hard against Clara's cheek. "You little bitches!"
Clara was left without any words, her eyes were rounded with shock that was similarly evident in everyone's eyes, including Mr Reed who stared blankly at her.
She turned to him. "At first I was considering something light, but not anymore. These girls have committed a crime, so they'll be sent to the police and rot in jail."
After she was done talking, Asher's deep gaze never peeled away from her. His intense stare made Abigail pull her gaze away. She folded her hand against her chest, deep down hoping Mr Reed wouldn't go back on his words, and instead, hand the servants over to the police.
"Okay." He said finally, giving the housekeeper a firm look. Mrs Melissa nodded in understanding, leaving the room with the servant.
They were taken downstairs, and Mrs Melissa called the police.
The more Abigail thought about it, the more she felt something wasn't quite right. Even though she had travelled through time, and alot had changed. Why will these servants make an attempt on her life? It didn't make sense.
Abigail left for the waiting room where Clara and Emma were confined until the police arrived. She was about to pull the door open when she heard faint whispers. Abigail opened the door gently, Clara and Emma were on the phone, talking to someone.
"We did as you said…" She heard Clara say. "Yes. Yes. Don't worry…." They kept nodding.
"I'm not sure what has happened to her, but something about her has changed." Emma whispered over the phone. "She even called the police on us"
Abigail kept listening.
"Please, you must come to our rescue. That bitch has gone totally insane!"
The last words infuriated Abigail, but she remained calm listening. She was damn right! There was someone else involved, and those fools were simply following someone's orders. But who could that be?
She sighed, unable to think. Her past self didn't look like someone who could have enemies who probably wanted to end her life.
Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't realized that Clara and Emma had spotted her.
"You…what are you doing here?" Clara disconnected the call, hiding the phone in her pocket.
"Who were you talking to?" Knowing they would not answer, she rushed to Clara, snatching the phone from her pocket.
Before Abigail could look at the screen clearly, she was hit from behind. She felt pain from her head, and warm crimson fluid flowing from it. Her vision doubled, she collapsed on the floor, falling unconscious.
Abigail groaned in pain, waking up. Her head was hurting so much, almost on the verge of exploding. She looked around and realized she was back in Mr Reed's room.
Slowly, vision became clearer, and her eyes met that of a woman whose lips were wide with smiles.
"Do you know who I am?" The woman asked, making Abigail's blue eyes round.
Chapter 6- Hey, why are you taking off your clothes?Abigail steadied her gaze, staring at the woman beside her."Do you know who I am?" The woman asked, her lips wide with a smile.Abigail looked at her intently, but unfortunately, nothing came through. She pursed her lips, shaking her head. "No. I'm afraid not. "The woman's face fell disappointedly, but her smile was still bright. "That's alright. Mrs. Reed, I am your doctor, Natasha Griffen." She said, smiling. "Do you feel uncomfortable? Are you in pain?" She asked.Abigail swerved her head sideways, and on the sofa was Asher Reed. He was sitting with his hands crossed against his chest, watching her. Their eyes met briefly, but she retracted her stare."For a start, my head hurts badly." Abigail touched the back of her hair, which had been carefully bandaged."That's normal. Anything else?" Natasha asked.Abigail considered her for a second. "This may sound crazy, but I can't remember anything from the last two years. It's as if
Chapter 7- Don't You Touch Me?Abigail could feel the awkwardness that charged the air. She paused, watching Asher who was staring right back at her with a serious face. She didn't want to upset him, so she got up, clutching the thin fabric of her nighties together.Abigail sat down on the other side of the bed. This was very uncomfortable for her. She may have been married to him for a long time, but he felt like a complete stranger to her."What will happen to Emma and Clara?" She decided to fill the awkward silence."They will be investigated by the police. There seems to be a mastermind behind the whole incident. "The police will take care of it," he said."Did the police find Clara's phone?""It was already broken when we found you..."Abigail hissed. "Clara broke it! Those little bitches, now we will never know who the mastermind is. ""The phone is broken, but we can access its call records.""That's right! How could I forget about that? So we can find out tomorrow, right? " S
Chapter 8- Doing sports togetherAsher leaned closer to her, noticing the curiosity imprinted in her eyes. "You are capable of warming the sheets just fine during winter" Asher said in a serious manner.Abigail blinked, it took her a full quarter-second to understand his words. So that was the only virtue she possessed. Somehow, she felt bad. "Thank you Mr. Reed," She smiled peevishly, dropping her eyes on Mr Reed hands on her waist. "Too bad it's summer now, you can let go of me." She smiled sarcastically.Asher was calm, staring at her, "It's much safer for you this way. After all, I had only left you for a second, and you fainted in the waiting room.""That was a different case, Mr Reed, I had been hit by Emma that's why I fainted." She inhaled deeply, "But seriously, if you don't let go of me, I might faint again because I can hardly breathe" Abigail really missed her once slender and perfect figure. After hearing her words, Asher didn't let her go, but pulled away just a little
Chapter 9 - We haven't contacted each other for half a year?Abigail dialed the first number she could remember, held her broken phone in one hand, while her other hand clung hard to the telephone. She listened expectantly, hoping to hear the familiar voice of her boyfriend, Dave Anderson, but to her disappointment it was the automatic voice of the service provider that sounded.'This user's number has been disconnected,'Abigail was quite shocked, she hung up and dialed again, but the response was the same. Dave's number was disconnected. How could his line be disconnected?Could she have remembered it incorrectly? But the possibility of that was very unlikely. There was no way in the world she could have remembered incorrectly, this was Dave's number for pete's sake. After dialing the third time, she still heard the same automatic response. Abigail felt a churn in her stomach. She had to give up for the time being, and dialed in her father's number. It was the same automatic respons
Chapter 1: Who are you?"Well, it hurts..."Abigail felt her body ache badly. She felt a sudden coldness in her body and opened her eyes quickly, which fell directly on the man who was close at hand. Her eyes widened as she reached out to push the man away from her, but her wrist was gripped by the man's large hand and dragged above her head.It looked familiar, very familiar. Where had she seen him before? The man stopped moving but didn't move away from Abigail, his eyes staring down at her deeply."I recall now that you are Asher Reed of the Reed's Empire. My father's friend. You monster! Do you have no conscience? How dare you do this to my father? I will call the police and send a beast like you to jail…" Abigail's eyes became watery with tears. How will she face her father now? And more importantly, her boyfriend, who was about to get engaged to her. More tears rushed from her eyes. The eyes of the man became piercing. "You will call the police?" Mr. Reed asked in a low drawl,
Chapter 2 Abigail was shocked and stupefied as she gazed at the mirror in confusion. 'The fat girl in the mirror couldn't be her' She thought in disbelief. Abigail had always been cautious of her weight, and had never been overweight before. 'Stop screaming!' A whisper in her head yelled at her. Abigail stopped screaming, as she examined herself in the mirror. She pulled a hand to her face and pinched it firmly, the person in the mirror did the same. Unbelievable! How could this happen? Was she dreaming? Abigail never tore her gaze away from the fat girl staring right back at her in the mirror. She slapped herself, groaning from the stinging pain coming from her cheek, and the person in the mirror followed her action. 'Not a dream Aby. How did you turn into a fat girl?' Abigail had a lot of questions. Although her slender, pristine face no longer exists, but her facial features could still be seen, and Abigail could affirm it was her. She turned on the phone she

Immediately, she picked up the things on the table and looked at them. There were two red books. Abigail saw a picture of herself with a small, tender face, pink lips, and a slender and pristine figure. And beside her was Mr. Reed, wearing a stylish blue suit. He looked so handsome, but they weren't smiling. She saw the date on the license and it was two years ago. But she has no memory of her supposed wedding."Are you still calling the police?" Mr. Reed's question startled Abigail. Her eyes dropped to the marriage certificate again, and just then she understood why he had woken her up so intimately. He had done nothing wrong. After all, they were a married couple.Quietly, Abigail shook her head, meeting his green irises. "I don't understand Mr. Reed. Two years ago I was supposed to ge
