Liam's eyes widened in shock at the accusation. He couldn't believe that Lila's mind had jumped to such a conclusion.

Panic washed over him as he struggled to come up with a convincing response.

"No, no, no, babe, it's nothing like that," he protested, his voice filled with sincerity. "I promise you, there's no one in the kitchen. I've just been preoccupied with other things."

Lila's gaze bore into Liam, searching for any signs of deception. The air hung heavy with tension as she continued to press him for answers.

"Then why have you been acting so weird?" she demanded, her voice edged with a mix of frustration and hurt. "What's really in the kitchen?"

Liam's mind raced, desperately trying to come up with a plausible explanation that would satisfy Lila's doubts.

In a split second decision, he decided to play on her love for surprises.

With a glimmer of hope, he blurted out, "It's nothing, babe. I've been preparing something for you, a surprise—my latest produce."
