Anna

There was a knock on my door, and Fran came in with a breakfast tray.

“Anna, I brought you breakfast.” She said gently.

I didn’t answer. I barely heard her. I was numb, sitting in my bed staring at my phone, dried tears on my face.

Fran set the tray on the dressing table and sat on the bed.

“Anna please stop crying. I don’t know why you are crying over a man who treated you and your sister like nothing. Forget him and move on.”

“I love him,” I said, tears rolling down my cheeks. “ I love him and want him back.”

“Stop being silly. How can you love such a narcissist? Eat some breakfast.”

“I am not hungry.”

“At least drink some coffee, please.”

“Please Anna.” She begged.

I burst into tears. “It’s all over social media! Everyone is saying horrible things about me.” I cried.
