"How is he doing?" Nicholas asked the doctor. His heart has been pounding behind his ribcage as he waits for them to be through, and that was the longest waiting period of his life.

"Come see for yourself." The doctor said that and opened the curtain to allow him through. Nicholas went straight to where his son was lying, and he took his hands.

"Dada?" Cole called weakly, and Nicholas nodded as a sigh of relief left him.

"Yes dada." A smile filled him as Cole gripped his thumb weakly and Nicholas stroked his cheeks. His son was going to be fine after all.

"So, as you can see, we were able to treat him. But from the looks of it, this is the result of an allergy reaction."

"I see." Nicholas mused. He should have thought so, because this was the same symptom they manifested. The swelling of the face, hives on their body, and things like that.
