Shawty walked away. Her figure looked lonely.

Fredrick felt his heart ache for her; he hated how sad she looked.

She stood on the balcony, looking at the distance in a daze; she was not looking at anything in particular.

Frederick walked towards her and stood quietly beside her to keep her company.

They stood there for a few hours; no one said anything, but it was peaceful.

"Maybe she is really right." Shawty finally spoke up after a few hours of silence. "I am bad luck; I guess it was my bad luck that made my parents die," she said, feeling melancholy.

"Shhh, you are not bad luck; you don’t have to care about that nonsense that woman said," Frederick said.

Shawty chuckled. "I know you are just trying to console me," she said.

"It is a fact! I keep getting important contracts since you followed me back; I never regret it," he told her.
