Chapter 1

Sandra’s POV

“Sign them.” A document was flipped on my face as soon as I walked in. Brian stared at me coldly without giving me any affection.

I glanced through the papers and gasped at the contents. “W-what is this?” I stammered, my hands covering my mouth in disbelief as I stared at his face in confusion.

He avoided my gaze and replied. “Just sign the papers.” He instructed and I felt a lump in my throat.

We have only been married for two years and he's asking for divorce?!

I stared up at him in confusion. “Brian Fenandro, what is this?” I asked angrily. If this is a joke then he should end this drama now. I don't fit in with these things.

“Does it look like I’m playing, Sandra? I want a divorce and I mean it! Sign them.” He said and was about to leave the room when I stopped him.

“What is going on, Brian? You don't mean this do you? How can you be here, asking for a divorce like it is some kind of contract letter? This can't be true, Brian!” I yelled, holding tightly to his collars. He flung my hands off him as I stumbled backward, losing my balance.

“That is something you can never stop doing; gripping my clothes like I am some fool to you. Sandra, my heart doesn't belong here. It doesn't belong to you and I don't want you taking things for granted. Sign the divorce papers.” He said coldly and a frown settled on my face.

I tried to make his statements understandable but I couldn't just hold a grasp from it. My heart beat rapidly as I breathed in and out, gulping down hard and shaking my head. “That’s something I can never stop doing? Brian, have I ever held onto your collars like this?” I asked, my voice barely audible.

My hand trembled with fear and I stepped backward as tears threatened to fall down my face.

“Care to explain what this divorce is about? Are you now finding fault in me? Brian, remember, you told me you love me and I lit up your life. You said since you met me, I have given you hope to love and the holes in your heart are now healing.” I blabbered, tears falling down my cheeks slowly. I shook my head waiting for his answers while he just stared at me like I was saying some words he couldn't understand.

“Don't make a fuss out of this, Sandra. Yes, I said you lit up my life but that was what you made me believe. You just appeared in my life and changed all my motives. I said that out of lust.” He denied and I stared into his eyes. The blue eyes were cold and all I saw in his eyes was disgust towards me.

“Wow, I'm making a fuss now. The Brian I know wouldn't even raise his eyes to say these things to my face.” I retorted, staring unbelievably at him.

He laughed sarcastically. “That's what I'm saying. You think the world revolves around you and everyone can't look into your eyes but I'm saying this right now and this instant. Sign the divorce papers and I'm giving you no time for that.” He insisted and I gasped, tears rolling down my cheeks and my hand pressing to my chest.

No? This can't be happening. Not now, not ever.

“Brian, if this is a…”

“I don't want to listen to that story. This isn't a joke and I know what I'm saying. I am of clear mind and want a divorce. Do me that favor of signing them. Don't make it hard for both of us!” He requested and I felt my world crashing down into pieces.

I stumbled to the floor, my head trembling in pain.

Memories of how we met at the charity flooded my mind. Our beautiful moments, the day we had our first kiss, and our wedding night. It just sent shivers into my soul. I held tightly to my chest, sobbing loudly as he got out of the room without glancing back at me.

Two years and we didn't even have a child to hook him down. Why would he just walk in and ask for a divorce like a game moment?

Brian wasn't like this. He wouldn't walk out when I was in pain. My parents and sister even talked him into not getting along with me but he insisted. He told me he loved me and introduced me to his parents and friends. We had the best wedding party that ever existed. I could feel the love in his eyes. That night at the charity events when he walked over to me asking for a chat couldn't stop running through my head.

“You look stunning,” He had admired me that night, while I stared at my faded pink dress and scoffed in disbelief.

“Don't flatter me. It's the same as insulting me. My dress is nothing even worth your praises.” I had turned him off but he still insisted.

“When I say the word ‘stunning’ it doesn't refer to your dress. It refers to your heart, your demeanor. It's fascinating and it makes me want to know more about you.” He just kept on flattering my heart and we talked things out. And then I gave him my contact.

Our first date… could words even explain how it was? He was that perfect gentleman and I knew that instant, he was my Mr. Right. My perfect man and knight in shining armor.

“Baby!” That tiny voice spoke as the door opened, jolting me out of my truancy. I weakly stood up, moving out of my room.

Upon getting to the main room, I met with a pink-haired lady, her hair was tinted and her lens was pink which indicated it was fixed. I stared down at her lips and realized it was pink too.

This lady was obsessed with pink because she was also wearing pink maxi shorts and tank tops. I furthered to her hand and my eyes widened at the luggage she held.

“Hey baby, she's not out?” I heard her ask as Brian’s hand was wrapped around her waist.

I stood there, perplexed by the scene. What was happening here?

“Who's this?” I questioned, staring at Brian for an explanation and his answer made my legs tremble.

“You don't have the right to ask me questions. What are you still doing in my house, woman? Sign the divorce papers and leave, this instant!” He sternly said, his gaze not leaving the lady.

The more he said those nonchalant words, the more I got hurt.

I couldn't hold the sight of their romance as I screamed in tears.

“Is this why you want a divorce? Because of her? Is she any better than me?” I questioned, tears streaming down my eyes.

My head felt heavy on my neck, and my vison was blurry as I looked at them. I found it hard to stand still and look at the exhilarating expression on the girl’s face.

“She's a million times better than you.”

Those five words shattered my heart into more pieces as I retreated my steps. My eyes suddenly became blurry and I tried hard to get myself out of this as I fell to the floor.

“SANDRA!”
