EVERYTHING WILL PASS

After being discharged from the hospital, Elissa was still often silent. She often daydreamed by looking at the garden from her room. She did not eat even though Edgar had cooked her favourite pasta. Not a single spoonful of pasta in front of Elissa decreased. She kept looking away, staring outside. Who knew what she was thinking?

Edgar tried to smile. He was the same. The pasta was still in the kitchen, not touched at all. When he was about to eat it, Edgar chose to look at Elissa first. And now, when he saw Elissa, who did not eat any of the dishes he had made, Edgar lost his appetite.

"Honey...," Edgar called. His hand touched Elissa's back.

Elissa looked back at Edgar. Seeing her husband coming, she tried to smile, too.

"Why aren't you eating?" Edgar asked again.

Elissa shook her head. She did not answer. "Just for you! I have no appetite!"

Edgar smiled. "I'll bribe you! You have to take medicine," he said in a soft tone.
