Meeting Father (4)

After a few minutes, Jacob took a deep breath, began to compose himself. His tear-filled eyes shifted to her growing belly, and something seemed to click in his mind.

"You look... pregnant," he said hesitantly.

Anne smiled warmly. "Yes, I’m six months pregnant."

Jacob’s expression softened. A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Congratulations."

Her smile widened which was lighting up her face. "We are having twins."

Jacob's eyes widened in surprise. "Twins? That’s amazing. I’m very happy for you."

Truly, he was very happy right now. He never expected to see his daughter again. Not only was she alive and well, she was going to give birth to his grandchildren. How could he not be happy about this?

Anne’s heart warmed as she saw the genuine joy in his face. She was happy that he felt good about becoming a grandfather.
