Leon hesitated for a moment before speaking. "My mom has some health issues, but I have never seen her in pain like this. And Coco and Belly... they don’t suffer this much either. I have never seen them go through something like what you just did."

She answered, “That’s because they don’t have ruined bodies.”

“I don’t get it,” Leon said.

Sia opened her eyes and with a casual tone that reduced the severity of her words, replied, “Try having two abortions, four miscarriages, and taking countless emergency contraceptives. It is a miracle I don’t have ovarian cancer yet.”

Leon was too stunned to speak. “Why would someone go through that?” he asked, unable to fathom the intensity of what she had endured.

She smiled bitterlyt. “Try marrying a narcissistic asshole who thinks his wife is his personal prostitute, someone he can use however he wants without ever taking responsibility.”
