Christina’s POV

“W-what?” I rubbed at my eyes, a yawn escaping my lips as I was still at a loss of what was happening.

“Don’t you dare play dumb with me, Christina. Why are your books in my bedroom, and the gadgets? What is this all about?”

My hand that had been on my eyes dropped and a small frown marred my face. For a minute, I looked past him to my empty desk and then to the shelves but then reality suddenly crashed into me as I recalled I’d been patiently waiting for this moment before the comforting arms of sleep grabbed me.

“Oh, that…” I finally responded, drawing in a deep breath. My eyes returned to him and I saw the anger on his face but I ignored it, responding with a dismissive tone. “I only returned the borrowed items,”
