~ THEO’S POV
I can change her life. I will make sure that I change her life and make it in the ways she never expected it to me. Laura has to feel what I have been feeling for several years now. She needs to see life in my own gaze and needs to understand that just because she has the bag and the man does not mean she won… well, her being in my office with her man begging to work with me clearly shows that she lost but I would like it to be more evident and raw. I want to see the blood, I want to see the mirrors and the flames and every single piece of her burning down in a way she never knew can happen. That will be when I will believe my revenge has been achieved, that will be when I will finally be able to sleep without thinking of ways to destroy her and attain my heart's peace, and that will be the day my closure will come to reality. I strolled into the club, the pulsating music wrapping around me like a familiar embrace. Scanning the room, I spotted Jamil perched at the bar, casually drinking a beer. As I made my way over, I nodded to the bartender and ordered my usual before sliding into the seat beside him. Jamil's eyes lit up with a mix of curiosity and anticipation, clearly waiting for me to dive into the details of my meeting with Christian and Laura. "I'm guessing you wanna know," I said, a smirk playing on my lips. "It won’t be a wonderful meeting if I don’t get to hear the stories, so tell me, how did it go?" He pressed, leaning in slightly, eager for the scoop. I took a moment to gather my thoughts, letting the cool beer wash down the tension from earlier. "It could have been worse, but it’s not," I finally replied, my voice steady. "Worse for you or her?" He asked, his brow raised in intrigue. I scoffed, a hint of amusement creeping into my tone. "For her, obviously. I have the upper hand; there’s really nowhere she can maneuver that’ll put me at a disadvantage." He chuckled, shaking his head. "You sound too confident." "I’m not confident, I’m just honest. She’s a killer, but she can’t kill me, at least not with the way life is going on right now." I leaned back, taking another sip of my beer, feeling the weight of the night lift just a little. "So what did you do to her?" He asked, his brow furrowing with curiosity. "I haven’t done anything yet. Honestly, I don’t plan to put in any effort right now, at least not until I get everything lined up just the way I want it," I replied, trying to keep my tone casual. "What do you mean by everything?" He probed, leaning in slightly, intrigued. I smirked, enjoying the suspense. "You’re gonna find out soon enough." He took a long sip of his beer, nodding thoughtfully as he processed my words. Despite all the horrible things Laura had done to me, Jamil always seemed to brush it off, trying to make it seem like it wasn’t that bad. I couldn’t tell if it was because he was good friends with her or if he just had this unwavering belief that everyone had some good in them, even those who were truly terrible. To shift the conversation away from the tension, I asked, "So, where’s Kelly? He should be here by now." I glanced at my watch, noting the time ticking away. Jamil replied, "He sent me a text saying he’s on his way, so I guess he’ll be here in like five minutes or less." "Okay, good," I said, feeling a bit relieved. "Yeah, and before I forget, I skimmed through the whole contract and sent it to you," He added with enthusiasm. "I really think it’s a perfect deal! Everything looks solid." "Is it the one with the writers?" I asked, and he nodded while explaining it to me. Working with Jamil is a breeze; he's twice as easy to collaborate with compared to anyone else. It's not just because he's my friend—he's genuinely professional and passionate about what he does. As Jamil and I dove into business talk, Kelly joined us, and his first words were, "Oh god no... please stop with the business conversation." I chuckled at his familiar reaction every time he heard Jamil and me discussing work. "Oh please, we were just skimming through the contract process," I replied, noticing the irritation in his voice as he took a seat. "Skim through something else..." He shot back, and as his eyes landed on the beer bottle in front of us, he added, "Like the beer, skim through that." I let out a slight chuckle and took a sip of my beer. Jamil jumped in, asking, "Forget about the beer, what took you so long?" "My car got hit by another car," Kelly replied nonchalantly, shrugging it off like it was no big deal. "Holy shit! Did you get hurt?" I instantly questioned, my heart racing as I hoped he hadn’t. He shrugged, a casual look on his face, and said, "Nah, I didn’t." "You gotta be more careful, Kelly. This is the third time in a month you've crashed into a car," Jamil chimed in, shaking his head in disbelief. "In my defense, they crashed into me. I was just driving, minding my business," Kelly shot back, trying to defend himself with that classic nonchalant attitude of his. "And what were you drinking while driving?" I asked, already knowing the answer. It was definitely a bottle of beer. He’s way too addicted to alcohol, but honestly, I can’t even imagine what his life would be like without it. It’s like the only thing that keeps him grounded enough to work without turning into a total lunatic. He replied, "A bottle of beer." "Oh fuck!" Jamil groaned, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I knew it! You never learn," I said, mentally facepalming myself at this point. How could he be so reckless? "Hey, I only had one bottle!" He defended himself, rolling his eyes as if that made it any better. "Whether it’s one or five, it doesn’t matter! No drinking while driving, Kelly!" I asserted "I hear you, I won’t do that again. Now can I order?" He shot back, but it felt more like a statement than a question. He turned his gaze to the bartender, who immediately came over, ready to take his order. As the bartender started preparing his drink, Kelly leaned in closer and asked, "So, how was it?" His eyes sparkled with excitement, clearly eager to hear my thoughts. I raised an eyebrow and replied casually, "How was what?" "You know, the whole meeting with Christian Beaker and you know who," He said, referring to Laura. He rarely mentions her name directly because he knows it gets under my skin. I took a slow sip of my beer, letting the moment hang a bit before responding, "Well, I talked to her and her husband, and they think I’ll be working with them." "But will you?" He pressed, his curiosity getting the better of him. I nearly choked on my beer with laughter, shaking my head at the ridiculousness of it all. "Absolutely not!" I exclaimed, the absurdity of the thought making me grin. "Then, what’s it gonna be?" He asked eagerly, his eyes glinting with curiosity. I was about to respond, but the looks on his face and Jamil’s really made me smile. They seemed genuinely invested in what I was about to say, practically leaning in. Taking a brief moment to gather my thoughts, I finally said, "It’s gonna be bad… very bad." "Well, that’s the plan?" Jamil asked his tone teasing but with a hint of seriousness. "I can’t tell all the details right now, but trust me, it’s not gonna be your typical hate story. It’s gonna be fire on fire. Either I burn or she burns, but the flame will definitely be on!" I asserted, a confident smile stretching across my face. I’m willing to throw myself into an uncomfortable situation just so I can achieve my goal. After my conversation with Jamil and Kelly, I made my way back home, feeling the weight of the day start to lift as I thought about getting some rest. I can’t deny that today has been one of the easiest days of my life. It felt good, but I can’t help but hope for it to get even better. That’s why I’m always pushing myself to achieve my goals, no matter how challenging they might be.As I pulled up to my mansion, the familiar routine unfolded; my security opened the car door, and I stepped out, the cool evening air brushing against my skin. I walked toward the house, only to be met by an eerie silence and darkness that enveloped me. This is usually my life—always quiet and shadowy—living in a three-story building filled with rooms that rarely see any activity, and a bed that hardly gets used.I ventured deeper into the house, my footsteps echoing softly against the floor. Just as I was about to head upstairs to my room and start preparing for some work when abruptly, the lights flicker
~ LAURA’S POVI lifted my hand toward Ariana's mouth, ready to feed her a bite of her sandwich, when she suddenly asked, "Mommy, what’s that on your hand?" Her innocent voice danced in my ears, a sweet melody that always brought a smile to my face. Ariana is my daughter, the only hope of my existence, and the sole sign of my love with Theo. She has this remarkable innocence and beauty that mirrors her Theo’s charm, and in that moment, she looks like a little angel.I glanced down at the bruise on my hand, trying to brush it off. "It’s nothing really, just a bruise," I said lightly, hoping to ease her concern."But it hurts, doesn’t it?" She pressed, her brow furrowing with genuine worry. The way she cared for me filled my heart with warmth, it reminded me of how Theo used to act towards me. "No, it doesn’t, but it will keep hanging if you leave it there holding up the sandwich! Now open up!" I said playfully, reaching to feed her. She opened her mouth wide, her eyes sparkling with an
~ THEO’S POVI stood up from my couch and strolled over to the window. Gazing down at the street below, I felt a rush of determination. After countless hours of thinking and planning, I believed it was finally time to take the next step toward my goals. I had meticulously scheduled and scaled-down all my plans on a board, each detail carefully crafted.I always tried to stay one step ahead of my time, and today feels like the perfect moment to execute my vision. Stepping back, I scrutinized the board, ensuring everything was in order for my plan. I couldn’t afford to come off wrong or feel out of place; I had been working toward this for years, pouring my heart and soul into it as if my life depended on it… because, in reality, it did. I got this board a few years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since, planting every seed and every detail of my plan to ensure everything goes perfectly. My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a knock on the door. "Who is it?" I called out, my curiosi
It’s finally happening! Plan one is coming together, and soon I’ll have my chance to confront Laura. I’ve been waiting for this day for what feels like an eternity, and now that it’s finally within reach, I can feel the excitement coursing through my veins. This is my moment to ensure Laura gets what she deserves. The anticipation has been building for so long, and now that it’s here, I’m ready to seize the opportunity. As I arrive at the towering office building, the sleek glass facade reflects the bustling city around me. I step out of the car, taking a moment to gather my thoughts before entering. As I walk through the door, I notice my employees standing up to greet me, their faces a mix of respect and curiosity. But today, I’m not in the mood for pleasantries; I brush past them, focused solely on my motive.I stride over to Jamil’s desk, my heart racing with purpose, and ask, "Where are they?""In the waiting room; I had them wait there," he replies, glancing up with an expectant
While Laura and her husband step out of my office, I plunge back into my mountain of work. Today is shaping up to be exceptionally hectic, and I’m buried under deadlines that need to be met before I head out for dinner with my sister. With Tamara in town, I feel this relentless obligation to spend time with her; otherwise, I’ll be inundated with her endless complaints about feeling lonely and how no one has time for her. It’s honestly so infuriating when she goes on about that. I mean, it's not like I don’t care, but it’s clear I can’t devote my time to her when I’m trying to ensure she has all the nice things in life. My aim is to give Tamara the kind of life I never had, brimming with joy and fulfillment. I’m okay with enduring the stress and exhaustion as long as it means she can find happiness. As I immerse myself in my tasks, the sound of a knock on the door pulls me from my thoughts. I call out for the person to come in, and Jamil walks in, holding a steaming cup of coffee. I le
~ LAURA’S POVFirst day of work and I’m feeling pretty prepared, even though I’m a bit unsure about it all. There’s this little part of me that thinks it might be great especially since my boss is Theo and not some random dude. I know that Theo and I are not really in good times and we had a rough ending, but I really don’t think that will impact what’s going on now considering it’s his idea to hire me.Honestly, now that I’m thinking about it, I have no idea what to expect from this new job, but I’m really hoping it turns out to be a great experience. This morning, I dropped Ariana off at school, and after that, she’s going to hang out at her friend’s house until I can pick her up later. I had to set that up because, honestly, I can’t handle being around that beast she thinks is her father. Christian is nothing but trouble, and I just want to keep him as far away from my daughter as possible. When Christian agreed with the job offer, I was really skeptical at first, mainly because of
Jamil gave me a couple of clear instructions on what I need to do. Since I’ve never worked in an office before, I’m feeling a bit lost with all the tasks, but Jamil promised to guide me through everything. He reassured me that he would make sure I was doing everything right to avoid getting fired or facing any penalties. Honestly, just thinking about penalties makes me anxious; I was completely taken aback this morning when Theo yelled at me. The shock of that moment still lingers, and I can’t even imagine how I would feel if I faced actual penalties. But with Jamil here, I feel a little more at ease and think I can manage.Jamil has always been incredibly kind to me, almost like an older brother. He’s always looking out for me, making sure I’m comfortable and know where I’m headed in this new environment. Today, he handed me a hefty stack of files to sort through and took the time to explain the filing system meticulously. He broke it down step by step, ensuring I understood how ever
After I wrapped up the task Jamil assigned to me, he asked me to create a report summarizing the data findings. Even though I was starting to feel a bit tired, I pushed through and found it much easier than the first task I was given. Writing comes naturally to me, so putting together the report wasn’t too challenging. I was able to organize my thoughts quickly and lay out the information clearly especially since I am very much experienced with it. In less than an hour, I had the report completed and polished, ready for submission. Jamil mentioned that I needed to send it to Theo, so I took the time to double-check everything, making sure all the details were accurate and intact. I really want to avoid any mistakes, especially since Theo doesn’t seem to be in the best mood today; I don’t want to add to his stress. As I was arranging the report, I remembered the homemade cookie I baked for him. I had intended to give it to him earlier, but my busy day had gotten in the way. Now that I
~ LAURA’S POV"Mommy, come over here!" Ariana's voice filled the warm, salty air, breaking through the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. I turned to her, curious about what had sparked her excitement. "What's going on?" I asked"Look, I drew a picture of us. Me, you, and Daddy," she said proudly"Really?" I questioned, "Let me see!" I reached for the book she was holding, and as I flipped it open, I was greeted by a beautiful drawing that captured the essence of our little family—Theo, me, and Ariana, all smiling and holding hands. "Wow, that's so beautiful!" I exclaimed, genuinely impressed. I felt a mix of emotions bubbling inside me, and I desperately wanted to ask her what made her call Theo "Daddy," but I decided to let it be for now. Honestly, I had been hoping she would say that because I knew it would mean the world to Theo.Ariana had only recently learned that Theo was her father, and although she had felt a bit strange about it at first, I was relieved to see her b
~ THEO’S POVLife is indeed like a firework. It’s amazing to look at, it’s scary at first but in the end, it’s a beautiful sight. My life is like that and I’m beyond grateful for that because the bad days were shaped through the good ones and now I’m in a position where I don’t want to change anything about my life. For the past five years, I’ve been nothing but mean, cruel, and completely disconnected from my true self. I held onto the belief that bad things happen to good people and that good things are reserved for those who act badly. I thought that being good never brought any rewards. But as I stand here in front of the mirror, my friends helping me out, I realize how wrong I was. Being a good person truly does pay off because if I was bad it wouldn’t be like this. My friends wouldn’t be here and I might have never found myself in a great place, surrounded by my best friends, and about to marry the love of my life—Laura.I still can’t believe this day has finally come. After so
There is no doubt I woke up to the most handsome man on earth, Theo. Every time I’m with him, I can’t help but feel incredibly lucky. He’s truly one of a kind, and just being with him melts my heart in ways I never thought possible. As I lay there, I smile, watching him sleep peacefully, his chest rising and falling gently. I trail my fingers through his soft hair, feeling the warmth radiate from him. He must have sensed my touch because a smile spread across his face, even in his sleep. His smile makes me smile, and the happiness he exudes fills my heart with joy. I’m just so happy to be with Theo.I leaned over and planted a soft kiss on his forehead, savoring the moment. Once again, he smiles, and I watch as he instinctively reaches for my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine. He kisses my hand softly, and I feel a flutter in my chest. He murmurs something, but I can't quite hear it, so I lean in closer and ask, "What?""I said let’s sleep, I’m so tired," he replies, pulling me
His mouth moved against mine with a burning urgency, igniting a fire within me. He gently laid me back on the bed, his body hovering over mine as he broke the kiss, his breath warm against my skin. With a delicate yet deliberate motion, he unbuttoned my shirt and took off my bra, and the moment I was exposed, his mouth eagerly found my breast. A soft moan slipped from my lips, the sensation electrifying as he lavished attention on me, sucking and teasing my nips with his tongue, sending waves of pleasure coursing through my body. A tingling sensation ran through my body as Andre felt gently cup my face as he deepened the kiss, his lips moving against mine with a gentle urgency. The bristles of his beard scratched against my soft cheeks and I gripped his head firmly, as if trying to keep him from escaping. He worked his mouth against mine, our tongues battling back and forth like wrestlers, each trying to pin the other.Theo then broke the kiss and began to trail his kisses down to my
Ariana, Theo, and I had a lot of fun today. I’ve never seen her this happy and comfortable before, as if she knows Theo is her father. The way she seems to be getting comfortable with him really melts my heart and I can’t help but feel very happy. After having dinner, I took her to bed while Theo headed upstairs to get some work done. He’s been catching up on so much work recently and I can understand why, having to run a big company like his is a lot to handle. Preparing Ariana for bed, I made her brush her teeth and change into a comfy outfit before I tugged her into the bed. I was about to wish her goodnight when she said, "Mommy, can you tell me a bedtime story?""Maybe next time, baby, I don’t have any storybook with me right now," I said."Ohh, ok," she sighed. I didn’t want her to be sad, so I said, "But I could think of a story to tell you.""Really?" She grinned, and I nodded. Taking a moment before I continued, "Once upon a time, there was a little princess called Ariana."
~ LAURA’S POVIt feels surreal how life can take such a sudden turn after being so tough. I never thought I’d get another chance with Theo, especially after everything we’ve been through. Just a month ago, I was stuck in my head, thinking about what jail would be like for me, and now I’m living in this beautiful mansion I never want to leave, surrounded by the love of my life and nothing but peace and happiness. I can hardly believe this is real. Each morning, I wake up wrapped in love with the only man I’ve ever truly wanted, and it just feels so right. It’s like a dream come true. It’s been just a few days since the case was dropped and I moved in with Theo, but honestly, it’s been the best days of my life. He’s been incredibly nice, loving, and sweet to me, just like I remember. He’s still that same silly old Theo, always making me laugh and ensuring I’m comfortable and happy. Now that I’m settled in with him, we’re planning to bring Ariana back into our lives. She’s our only dau
Her tongue intertwined with mine as I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her even closer to my body, feeling the warmth radiating between us. I was happy and from the way she was kissing me, I could tell that she was too… happy and feeling the same passion as me. While I was savoring the kiss, I was lost in the moment until I suddenly felt something wet on my cheeks. It took a moment to register that it was tears—Laura was crying.I pulled away from the kiss, my brow furrowing in confusion as I searched her face. "What’s wrong? Why are you crying?" I asked, my voice filled with concern. She opened her mouth to speak, but before any words could form, she burst into tears, collapsing to the ground. My heart sank as I watched her shudder with each sob. I knelt beside her, my hands hovering helplessly, asking, "Laura, what’s going on? Why are you crying?"Still, she couldn’t respond, her cries echoing in the silence. I repeated my question, but all she could do was whimper, more tears s
Taking a break feels like a part of me is being locked away, waiting indefinitely for some kind of resolution. I've been pacing around the driveway, my heart racing as I wait for my lawyer to arrive so we can finally have a conversation. I’ve also tried to speak with Laura before the court case resumes but the authorities didn’t let me, they claimed that I have to wait till the court case is settled before I can have a word with Laura. I don’t understand why though but since that’s the case, I just had to go with it. Right now, I’m just hoping that Laura is okay and everything is fine about her, though the look on her face tells a different story. I can tell that she’s anxious, restless, and stressed and honestly, I’m all those things too, everything just feels draining to me right now, making it a lot harder for me to concentrate or even think of the way further. My mind is a whirlwind of thoughts, fixating on why the judge needed a break. It seems so simple—she could have made a de
The lawyer started to present the argument, and I sat back, intently watching him as he laid out the details of the case. Just as he began to make a compelling point, the victim’s lawyer interjected with a sharp objection. The judge, maintaining control of the proceedings, gave him permission to discuss his concerns. He quickly shifted the focus to the accident, and the victim’s lawyer requested that Christian be allowed to come and testify. As if on cue, Christian strutted up to the witness stand, a smug grin on his face that made my blood boil. He seemed to thrive on the drama of the courtroom, his swagger radiating an air of arrogance. I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on him, and it only fueled my frustration. Christian took his seat, adjusting his collar as if he were preparing for a performance rather than a testimony. Honestly, I don’t even know why he’s here, he is a total piece of crab and the way he acts is just so absurd, he really shouldn’t be here, I mean what
